Giacomo was a very knowledgeable guide who presented a lot of information in an interesting and fun way. The museum was refreshingly less crowded than most we've visited. The visit to the church of Sant Croce was a fascinating end to the tour with a lot of great insight by Giacomio.
Terrible tour. The guide only read the words on the museum wall aloud to me. I booked an English-speaking guide, and language was a significant issue. This was a very expensive tour with no value add. The rest of my tours in Florence were outstanding. The quality of this tour is very unusual for Viator. I expressed my concerns to Viator, but was not issued a refund nor supported by Viator with respect to my concerns.
Dear Mrs Leah, first of all thank you for spending your time reviewing us. Nevetheless we do not agree at all with what you wrote. Our guide is the maximum Galileo's expert in Florence. He thinks that the Galileo Museum introduction is really well written and normally he starts with one minute introduction with a stop in front of the writing. He EXPLAINS what it is written and does not read it, as he knows very well what the meaning of the writing is. One we clearer up this crucial point, let's talk about the real reasons you left the tour: 1) you were sick that morning and you had to stop at every toilet you mrt on your way. Our guide is of course very keen on people and guest oriented, so he tried to help you in every possible way 2) Our 4 hours tour with a Galileo's expert is advertised with every single stop: Galileo Museum, Santa Croce Church and a city tour on Galileo's footstep. Maybe you did not read what the tour included before buying it and once you realized that you had already seen Santa Croce Church you preferred to quit the tour in order to ask for a refund. You lost a lot, as our Santa Croce visit takes visitors to the hidden Galileo places in the church Sorry, we had already bought your ticket for Santa Croce and also hired the guide for 4 hours, so it was not possible for us to refund you, Viator is NOT responsible for this, as they kindly asked us if we could give you a refund. It was us, our company, who denied the refund, because of the above mentioned reasons. Hoping that you have healed soon, we wish you the best holiday in our dreamful country - Susanna
We booked this tour by Made of Tuscany Tours and we took a short tour around Basilica di Santa Croce to see paintings and sculptures and then we went to the Galileo Galilei Museum, where we so most of the inventions and experiments from the Genius. A sincerely thanks to our knowledgeable guide.
We recently returned from our vacation in Florence, Italy. One of the highlights of our trip was the Galileo Private Science Tour we booked through Made of Tuscany Tours. our guide Giacomo was exceptional. His deep understanding of the history of Florence and his ability to recount stories and make connections really brought to life what we were seeing. He steered us to the most significant exhibits and inventions/experiments in the Galileo Museum and paintings, tombs, and sculptures at the Basilica of Santa Croce. The Basilica reminded me of Westminster Abbey in London and is definitely a must see! Without a doubt, Giacomo's guidance deepened our appreciation for this period in history. Our guide was so friendly, and he really took the time to customize our tour so that both by husband and I got the most out of our excursion. Giacomo made it a truly memorable day! We would highly recommend this tour and this tour guide.
Alessandro was the most wonderful guide. He really knows art, architecture and history, and his passion for it shows. We could not have found a more knowledgeable and professional guide anywhere- truly gifted and just incredible.
Our tour guide was amazing! I wish we could have had him on every tour extremely knowledgeable. I learned so much from him!
Thank you Bradley, we will show this wonderful review to Alessandro
The visit was very rewarding. Very good especially if you have children. Small trip through time and science
