I had a wonderful time with Mehmet and our small tour group! Mehmet was extremely knowledgeable about the locations visited as well as about Turkish history and culture! I really enjoyed our chats throughout the day. All locations visited were special and fascinating. I loved the underground cities, but the monastery and Ilhara Valley took my breath away! I also felt that we had a decent amount of time to wander through each location without being rushed. The meal provided with the tour was quite delicious and I was pleased that there was a vegetarian option for me as well! Although I was a bit skeptical about the two shopping stops, they both turned out to be fairly priced and good quality. I bought plenty of lokum at the second stop at a very reasonable price and I still think about one variety that was unlike any lokum I have ever had!

The tour was very complete. We toured different places. The guide was very kind and informative with all the information about the sites.

Mehmet Kirindi was our guide. He waited for me when i needed a slower pace and made sure i didn't miss anything. He gave me a hand when needed. I enjoyed everything along with the younger people in the group. We all had a pleasant time together.

My wife and I did the all day Green Tour, which included panoramic views of Goreme, a visit to an onyx workshop, highlights of going 54m underground at Derinkuyu and visiting Selime Monastery, a nice lunch, an afternoon walk through the gorge in the picturesque Ihlara Valley, an ice cream stop and finally a stop at a posh 'market' where we sampled and bought sultanas and oils etc. The day was made by our guide Mehmet, who was extremely knowledgeable about the ancient and modern history of the areas we visited. He was also friendly, funny, remembered all our names (about 13 of us) and where we came from. The day started for us at 9.30am and finished at 6.30pm, and Mehmet worked hard all day giving us fascinating insights to what we were looking at. If you do a tour in Goreme use Gate of Cappadocia Travel, do the Green Tour and ask for Mehmet. He was brilliant!

A friend and I booked the green tour through our hostel (€70pp) and we were thoroughly impressed. Mehmet was a fantastic guide, being both very knowledgable and a great laugh. The mix of attractions was very balanced and we enjoyed seeing the main sights as well as the smaller stops we made along the way. A very nice lunch at a local restaurant was also included! The entire day out ran from 10:00-18:00 and our group size was about 8 people. This particular tour included a short hike of about an hour through a canyon so is best for those who are of able body.

The green tour was diverse and very interesting! Our tour guide Mehmet was very nice, knowledgeable, and also funny! Thank you again for the invitation to tea in Uçhisar!

The Green Tour in Cappadocia was an amazing experience! The hike was beautiful with incredible scenery the entire way. I did the green tour and the scenery was absolutely stunning and the underground city was so interesting and full of history! Our guide Mehmet was super knowledgeable and helpful, and even gave me a bunch of advice on other attractions around Cappadocia suited to my interests! Highly recommended!

I have taken many styles of tour in many countries. The day trip with Mehmet as our guide was the BEST tour I have ever been on. I have to credit Mehmet for this. He was so knowledgeable, engaging, experienced, fun, communicative, and organized. There was no dull moment. The sites we visited were amazing and the Cave city was a highlight. The bus was comfortable and driver excellent. People were introduced and connected, and special accommodations were made when needed for the individual traveler. Mehmet's commentary was so helpful and enthusiastic - about Turkiye, Goreme, and the culture and people. The day was packed with activity, worth every penny. We would recommend the tour to anyone. It was strenuous in parts but again, we were able to adjust. I measure every tour against this one now, and not one has measured up.
