TIWANAKU É a área arqueológica mais importante da Bolívia, com mais de 3.000 anos, e contém o mistério de quem a construiu e por quê. Além disso, podemos visitar as pedras esculpidas de PUMA PUNKU, "cultura alienígena"
Pumapunku ou Puma Punku (Aymara e Quechua, "Porta do Puma") é um 6.o século, estrategicamente alinhado, em forma de T, montanha artificial com um pátio afundado e estrutura monumental no topo, perto de Tiwanaku, La Paz, Bolívia. É parte do complexo de Pumapunku, no local arqueológico de Tiwanaku, um antigo complexo arqueológico nos Andes do oeste da Bolívia, um Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO.
O monumento mais impressionante de Tiwanaku é a pirâmide Akapana. Originalmente, era uma pirâmide com sete plataformas superpostas e paredes de retenção de pedra que se elevaram a uma altura de mais de 18 m. Apenas a parte mais baixa e parte de uma das paredes intermediárias permanecem intactas.
O Kalasasaya, que significa "pedras em pé" em Aymara, é um dos principais templos do complexo arqueológico de Tiwanaku na Bolívia, construído por volta de 500 dC. Suas principais características incluem uma estrutura rectangular com paredes de pedra e colunas de areia, um pátio central afundado, e alinhamento com os pontos cardinais, servindo como um importante centro ceremonial e observatório astronômico.
O Templo Semi-Subterrâneo está localizado no sector oriental do Templo Kalasasaya. As paredes eram feitas de pedras de areia vermelha finamente acabadas alternando com grandes pilares verticais. Alguns dos pilares ainda exibem detalhes antropomórficos em baixo relevo (como um pé). 175 cabeças antropomórficas esculpidas de areia, ignimbrita e calcário estão embebidas em suas paredes e ao longo do perímetro. Este é o local de origem dos monólitos Bennett ou Pachamama e Khontiki.

I booked this tour based on the belief they would pick us up from our hotel. One day prior to the tour, once the payment had gone through, I got a Whatsapp text telling me to meet at the city's Old Train Station early the next morning. I also thought transportation to the ruins would be shared with other people on the same tour. But that turned out not to be a correct assumption either, as I was informed we would be taking public buses with local people going about their daily lives. Upon hearing all this, I tried to cancel for breach of contract but they denied my request. Please beware.
Ma'am... You can see the program on Viator. We contacted you to explain that your service is SHARED, while the hotel pick-up service is PRIVATE. We suggested that if you wanted to change it, and you refused, we explained that this is an EXPERIENTIAL service and is shared with the local people, something you were unwilling to do, and you also didn't want a private service... you only wanted to SAFEGUARD a service we've been providing for years... because of your discomfort with people from a particular country...
No show after booking confirmed! I waited 40 minutes and messaged the provider..no response. I now have wasted a vacation day since the tour was 7 hours
We want to apologize. As we explained to Viator, we're having trouble with the arrival of bookings; the notifications are arriving late. However, we have issued a full refund. We sincerely apologize.
THEY DIDNT PUCK ME UP AT ALL. I had to walk half an hour to the meeting point as they wouldn’t collect from my apartment and then they didn’t even bother to collect me. Avoid this company and avoid Viator.
It's a shared service and your hotel was far from the city center... we provided you with a private guide that wasn't included. You didn't read the service information and are only trying to cause trouble, even though we offered you a private pick-up service which you refused.
Team Chachapumas. The whole trip was interesting and informative. Food at the restaurant was good also.
Easy walk with a minimal amount of uphill and a minimal amount of stairs. You begin in Tiwanaku, see the whole complex, then visit the museums and seethe 7 meter (22 foot) tall obelisk unearthed at the sight. Then you go to Puma Punku, which is not a large site. See the H blocks and other oddly bored stones. Just remember a fair portion of the tour is getting to and from the sight.
Amazing experience with great guide! He knows everything about the local area and the history! He is very friendly and accommodating and goes out of his way to show you even more about the current and past Bolivian culture and food!
Small group; spanish, english; very interesting and magical place and stories! Very expresive giude. Deffinetly worth the time and money!
