São Gerásimo é o santo padroeiro da ilha e as suas relíquias são guardadas na pequena igreja do mosteiro num sarcófago de prata que é aberto durante os serviços religiosos para a congregação beijar os seus pés. Situado no vale de Omala, com uma esplêndida torre sineira construída no estilo arquitetônico peculiar às Ilhas Jônicas. Um pequeno buraco no chão da igreja leva a uma câmara subterrânea onde o santo viveu como eremita.

Fabulous day out, tailored to our wishes. Great guide, brilliant recommendations. Plenty of local knowledge. Great photographer. Nice safe drive, comfortable van with air-con. Did a lot of the island, with a lovyseim stop.
Wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Tweaked to what we wanted, but excellent recommendations on where to eat and took us to a beautiful beach. Saw a lot of the island and Dimitri is a very good, safe driver. Local advice and lots of interesting information, given by Dimitri. And he is a top photo taker. Highly recommend.

This was a private tour for just the two of us. Expert local guide with extensive knowledge of the island. Tour was customised to what we wanted to do. You also, miss the crowds which is well worth doing.
We spent 8 wonderful days in Kefalonia and booked Dimitris for a private island tour for myself, my husband, and our two children (13 and 10 years old). The first tour was so fantastic that we immediately booked him again for another day exploring Argostoli! Dimitris is incredibly knowledgeable about Kefalonia’s history, culture, and landmarks. He shared fascinating stories about each place we visited — including St. Gerasimos Monastery, Melissani Lake, Drogarati Cave, St. Theodoros Lighthouse, the War Memorial, Myrtos Beach, Sami Lagoon, and more. His passion for the island really shines through and made every stop meaningful. Dimitris picked us up from our villa in Trapezaki right on time. His car was clean, spacious and comfortable, and he even provided us with cold water throughout the day. Dimitris has a great sense of humor and a warm, friendly personality that made us feel completely at ease. He was also very considerate of our preferences and flexible with the itinerary, ensuring we had plenty of time to enjoy each stop without ever feeling rushed. He went out of his way to make the tours special for our children — showing them how to skip stones at the lagoon in Sami (the exit of the sinkhole!) and even bringing along his kids’ football so our 10-year-old could play on the soft sands of Lassi Beach. We stayed there for hours, and when we were ready to leave, Dimitris picked us up and took us to a great local restaurant for dinner. One of our tours happened to fall on Ohi Day, when many places were closed for the national holiday. Even so, Dimitris found wonderful things for us to see and do — including watching local parades and celebrations — and his recommendations were perfect. He was patient, kind, and even took lovely family photos for us throughout the tours — a thoughtful touch we really appreciated. All in all, our two days with Dimitris were absolutely fantastic — informative, relaxing, and full of memorable moments. If you’re visiting Kefalonia, we can’t recommend him highly enough. He truly made our trip unforgettable!

What a great experience! We are traveling on a cruise ship and booked our tour independent of the cruise line. We met our guide easily as we exited the tender from the ship. The weather was lousy- apparently a rare thing for Kefalonia, but he made the day for us. He was flexible and informative and still found things for us to enjoy despite the rain. We visited the capital, the caverns, and ended with a tasty lunch in port before returning to our vessel. Our cruise line offered transport on a giant bus -Dimitri had a nice mini-van . The personal attention was unmatched. highly recommend!
