Overall, our family enjoyed this full day of hiking and adventure even though it rained the whole day. Our guide, Miguel, was very knowledgeable and pointed out numerous beautiful birds and other rain forest animals.
Wonderful experience for me and my two teenage sons!
The tour was nice and the guide Monica and driver were friendly and helpful. The lunch was excellent. However the v”entire experienced was ruined because after choosing the tour because it claimed to pick up at our hotel I was told after booking, I received communication from the tour company stating they would not drop us off at our hotel and we would have to make other arrangements. After promising to work something out, the day before the tour, the tour company said we would have to pay $65 dollars to be dropped off at our hotel. After paying $320 for a two person tour, the fee to drop us off was outrageous. If you are thinking about booking this tour, be sure your hotel is in Fortuna or that you have a car to get yourself to the pick up and drop off.
It was an amazing experience ! Totally worth it. We saw many animals , the hike was beautiful and the waterfall experience was superb .our guide was amazing.
Great experience! Super invested guide who knew extremely well.
We had Miguel from 7 tours as our guide. Everything was organized. We texted him the location of our air bnb in La Fortuna and he picked us up right when he said he would. Arenal tour— bring a poncho! We did not and everyone else in our group did. We got soaked. They did not. Weather did not cooperate for us and you could not see the volcano at all. Not the tours fault though. Miguel gave lots of facts about everything. The hike was semi steep and rocky but it was neat, even without seeing the volcano. The waterfall was awesome! We swam at the bottom of it - cold water- but worth the experience. I would recommend water shoes or hiking sandals. 500 steps down to the waterfall was easy. 500 steps back up not so much. We are in decent shape and were winded. Again, worth it. Lunch was next. He took us to a restaurant in La Fortuna and we preordered at the start of our tour which meant we wanted with our casado plate, so it was pretty much ready for us. And delicious! Part three was místico hanging bridges. That was neat also, walking through a rainforest and trying to spot animals.
Great trip. The guides were super friendly and spotted all kinds of wildlife. It’s a terrific way to see a lot in a compact tour. And the lunch was great as well.
Wonderful full day with our great guide, Byron. He was very knowledgeable, fun, enthusiastic. We saw the highlights of the Arenal area. Hanging bridges, La Fortuna waterfall, and the volcano walk. I’d highly recommend as a way to get all of the highlights in one day
This was one of my favorite experiences in Costa Rica. It was such a good value in that we got to see the main highlights of Arenal, transportation was covered, and lunch/water were provided too. Miguel and Coco were amazing. They really went out of their ways to help us see animals during the hikes and even while we were driving. We saw so many different animals like howler monkeys, toucans, pigs, snakes, and birds. I highly recommend this tour. Wear some good shoes for the hikes!
We loved our guide Miguel and we made great friends on the tour! You truly cannot spot the wildlife without a guide. Our guide spotted a toucan and a sloth on the road and stopped to the side so we could get out and look. The parks were amazing and we were able to see everything in just a day!
