Esta viagem patrimonial de design particular começará com o motorista indo buscá-lo em seu hotel às 8:00 da manhã. Esta coleção de templos hindus, budistas ou jainistas é famosa por suas incríveis esculturas e entalhes, símbolos e sinais inclinados e arquitetura em estilo nagara. Sua arquitetura única e maravilhosa a colocou nas listas de locais do patrimônio mundial da UNESCO. Construídos no início do século 10 a 12, esses templos são maravilhosas peças de arquitetura nos tempos atuais. Essas esculturas e arquiteturas sensacionais retratam a paixão massiva, a incrível música, dança e outras artes criativas e seus gênios da dinastia Chandela. Situado no estado de Madhya Pradesh, esse grupo de templos era de 85, dos quais apenas 20 sobreviveram por esse longo período de tempo. Atualmente, estes são divididos distintamente em dois grupos como grupo de templos ocidental e oriental. Acredita-se que este conjunto de templos se conecte com uma história interessante da dinastia Chandela. Isso levou à construção de templos com esculturas incríveis nesta pequena vila cercada por montanhas do distrito de Chatarpur. Cada templo é diferente do outro e dois templos foram construídos entre eles.
Construído em 900 dC, este templo é conhecido por ser o mais antigo dos 20 templos sobrevividos. Dedicado à deusa Kali, este é o único templo formado em granito aqui.
Dedicado ao Senhor Shiva, consagrado com o 'Shivalinga', este templo é o templo mais tipicamente projetado com esculturas muito intensas e graciosas. Com 31m de altura, é o maior de todos os templos. O artesanato requintado em pedra mostra deus, deusas, divindades, amantes eternos e donzelas celestes.

I did the Khajuraho 8-hour temple tour and, although there aren’t many reviews for it, rest assured it is legit and of good quality. My guide, Karan, was extremely knowledgeable about the temples in Khajuraho. He explained the stories behind the most interesting sculptures and kept the tour lighthearted and engaging throughout. He knew the sites very well and was even able to accommodate some souvenir shopping along the way. As I was travelling on my own, we completed the tour in about 5 hours (rather than the full 8), but I am satisfied that we managed to cover everything.
We extremely enjoyed the amazing full day tour of Kajuraho temples given by guide Ganeshiam, who went out his way to give us the very best experience, showing such a deep knowledge of Indian history and mythology. We visited the most gorgeous Hindu temples from the Western & Eastern part as well as a couple of charming Jainist temples, a few from the South & North. We had lunch at a nice restaurant and also visited some exquisite shops . It was indeed the most comprehensive cultural experience of Khajuraho one could ever get.

Very interesting tour, which we really enjoyed. The guide was informative and very knowledgeable and recommended a lovely vegetarian restaurant for lunch when we asked for recommendations.

A fascinating and educational tour of these amazing structures. Naturally they (Jain temples excluded) are associated with the Kama Sutra but there is so much more than that! The figures depict every day activities; culture and worship in extraordinary detail and in 3D. Our guide gave us wonderful and surprising insights into these memories of human history and beliefs. Extraordinary tributes to a highly sophisticated society that existed a 1000 years ago. The timing was flexible as was the tempo and itinerary which allowed us to get the most out of the day and accommodate other ad-hoc objectives without missing a beat on this tour.
