O território do Parque Nacional do Monte Vesúvio é uma concentração de riquezas naturais, história de vulcanologia, paisagens deslumbrantes, culturas e tradições centenárias que fazem da área do Vesúvio um dos lugares mais fascinantes e visitados do mundo. O Parque Nacional do Vesúvio foi criado oficialmente em 5 de junho de 1995 para preservar espécies animais e vegetais, associações vegetais e florestais, singularidades geológicas, formações paleontológicas, comunidades biológicas, biótopos, valores paisagísticos e panorâmicos, processos naturais, equilíbrios hidráulicos e hidrogeológicos e equilíbrios ecológicos do território Vesúvio.
Vesuvius é um exemplo de um vulcão cercado que consiste em um cono externo, Monte Somma, com cinto de cratera largamente demolido dentro do qual há um cono menor representado pelo Vesuvius, separado por um vale chamado Valle del Gigante, parte da antiga caldeira, onde durante a erupção de 79 dC, o Grande Cono foi formado. Vesuvius é um vulcão poligenético e misto, composto por lava de composição química diferente (por exemplo, traquito, tepritos, leucititos) e formado por fluxos de lava e depósitos piroclásticos.
Sorrentino Vini foi fundada em 1990 pela paixão de Paolo Sorrentino. A fazenda é atualmente a maior do Vesúvio, pois tem 35 hectares de propriedade, todos localizados dentro do Parque Nacional do Vesúvio. O vinho mais famoso produzido no Vesúvio é o Lacryma Christi. É a única DOC (Designação de Origem Controlada) produzida no Vesúvio.

Our group of 13 were so well looked after, full on wine tasting with delicious local food, full commentary in the van and an unexpected stopoff on the way back for limoncello.

Nice lunch, great starter and dessert with good portions of wine for tasting! Vesuvius climb was energetic but paced out so can be done…..even after the wine! Great views and what an experience to tell friends and family about! On drive back stopped off for limoncello tasting which was very different and unique, won’t spoil the surprise though, you’ll have to go on the tour to find out..! Well worth it though.

Everything was perfect. The lady led the group beautifully to Vezuvio. Very nice driving. The driver did a great job. Italy have such winding streets, but he drove bus safely and perfectly. And the most important thing is that the volcano behaved and didn't erupt ;) Very nice trip and everything was beautifully organized. P.S. I almost forgot - the restaurant at the bottom of the volcano and the regional wine was fantastic :)

Guide and driver fantastic Mount Vesuvius and little shop with lemon tasting and chocolate Amazing food and wine tasting at winery was not great and was very dragged out would have rather spent more time at the little shop and on Mount Vesuvius

The lunch at the winery is very relaxed and plenty of time to wander the vineyard. The tour bus takes you nearly to the top of the volcano. There is a little rest area with souvenir shops, cafe, toilets and great views. This is a perfect place to enjoy if the final walk up top is too difficult for you. Half our group stayed here and half continued up to the top. The walk is very challenging as it is steep and the ash path is sloppy underfoot. But it’s manageable if you take your time and have little rest.

The trip to Vesuvius was fantastic with our effervescent guide Paula, with an excellent light lunch and wine tasting at a volcanic vineyard and a surprise visit somewhere on the way down from the volcano. The updates via WhatsApp are also very helpful. Would highly recommend

After being picked up at 11am from our hotel in Sorrento town we eventually arrived at the vineyard restaurant for the light lunch at 12.30. The restaurant had packed as many tables in, no room between tables. Starters arrived slices of salami and a square of bread in the middle of the plate, cold pasta with tomato sauce, and for dessert a slice a very dry cake. We were served 3 small glasses of wine and water. Eventually we left the restaurant after 2 1/2 hours then back on the coach for another 45 mins drive to Vesuvius. We were allowed 90mins before we had to be back on the coach, it takes at least 30 mins to reach the top!!! And another 15minutes if you wanted to walk around the creator. Back on the coach to our hotel. AN EIGHT HOUR DAY FOR ONLY 90 MINUTES TO CLIMB VESUVIUS . My suggestion would be if you wanted to visit Vesuvius catch the train from Sorrento to Pompeii. When you come out of Pompeii station a bus will take you up the mountain to Vesuvius . Train from Sorrento coach and entrance to Vesuvius approx 50e. The cost of the coach trip 99e.

As for the restaurant, the starter typically includes a selection of cold cuts and vegetables served with bread. We will follow up with both the guide and the restaurant owner to understand why the pasta may have been served cold, in case this is confirmed. We also discourage the use of public transport for such excursions, as it is often overcrowded, subject to delays, and makes it difficult to organize the day as smoothly and comfortably as a private service can. We really enjoyed everything about the excursion. From the pick-up point to drop off! The food and wine were lovely, and the stop for lemoncello tasting really good too. The driver was very skilled which made us feel safe on the winding roads and he was one of the nicest, jovial/happiest drivers we've met during our time in Sorrento. Our tour guide to the restaurant was great and our change of guide from the restaurant to Vesuvius and back to Sorrento even better. The trip was great and very informative. The town was not very difficult to walk and the guide reminded me us of the tough parts. The lunch was pleasant and the view gorgeous.Mt Vesuvius was unbelievable.we walked the crater.still seems a little hard to believe an eruption did so much damage.
