Encontro com o nosso Guia e começar a sua exploração de street food cretense. 1o através do mercado nós saboreamos bolos e bolos da mais antiga padaria da cidade inteira nós admiramos a fonte dos romanos ao lado do monumento da esposa do sultão. Caminhando para esta rua com aromas de nozes de café frescas e curadas e especiarias, tomamos um pedaço na loja de tapas mais antiga de Heraklion e saboreamos com um pouco de ouzo.
Caffe grego cozido lentamente com o velho método tradicional. Todos os segredos do café grego em uma combinação de doces cretenses e tortas yami.

Para os amantes de conhecer: lá teremos a opção de provar a lenta cozida famosa Ofto dos cretenses o alimento de sobrevivência qith iogurte fresco e batatas fritas frescas ao lado. Para os amantes vegetarianos: Antes de nosso caminho para a parte boêmia da cidade com suas mesas e octopuses monor-asiáticas qith fave feijão amarelo e o fondue cretense cheio de especiarias e queijo para derreter em sua boca. Yamas com alguns vinhos deliciosos e Raki e sempre com um pouco de semolina halva ou iogurte com colher doce de cereja.
Caminhando para a história através da igreja metropolitana e de um antigo mosteiro, chegamos às ruas mais antigas e pequenas da cidade enquanto admiramos as jóias escondidas desconhecidas para o turista.

Magda was the best guide!!! She knows the city very well, she accommodated my husband’s request for seafood instead of lamb, and was very personable and fun. We highly recommend this tour with Magda. Two thumbs up!
A lot of food! Two stops and the second stop had at least 8-9 plates of different dishes tapas style. More then I could eat, very friendly restaurant manager, guide was ok.
A brilliant experience combining history with the delicious Cretan food and drink. Magda was a brilliant guide - the whole thing could not have been better!
We had an amazing guide Magda and we learned so much about Crete and we sampled some very delicious authentic foods as we walked leisurely through Heraklion.

We had the most wonderful food tour with Magda. She was a perfect ambassador of Cretan hospitality, history and culture. She took us to places in Heraklion we may no have gone on our own, and the food…first, I’ve never eaten so much on a food tour and we usually take one in a every major city we visit. Secondly, Magda took us to places that had unique offerings that only a local would know. One of the restaurants served us lamb, sheep and pork raised from the owner’s farm in the mountains. And I loved that she encouraged us to eat with our hands. We were immersed into the Cretan culture for a day. Loved it!

Crete Heraklion specifically was wonderful. We enjoyed tasting local cuisine. There was plenty to eat! The gelato was wonderful!

What an incredible experience with Magda! She is our new best friend! Magda truly made us feel truly special and provided us with the great history of Crete, as well as a truly amazing food experience. She is a tremendous host who wants to provide you the best culinary experience Crete has to offer. Our last stop, a sit down lunch at an amazing restaurant on the water included beer and wine, numerous appetizers to enjoy, and when we thought that was it, out came the entrees of fresh sea bass and mussels, capped off with amazing desserts. I would give this food tour 10 stars if I could. Magda is an excellent guide. We had so much food! All of the food was thoughtful and local to Crete. I love food history and Magda has a lot of insight on the history of Crete, culture and food traditions. We were with another couple so the size of our group was perfect and we got to make new friends.
