We had an amazing experience on this hot springs tour! If you’re visiting the Manuel Antonio area and looking for a hidden gem, I highly recommend it. The hot springs were beautiful, relaxing, and felt very safe throughout the entire experience. Our guide, Damion, was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond by also showing us a beautiful river along the way, which made the tour even more special. We were specifically looking for a hot springs experience near Manuel Antonio, and this exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Damion, for making it such a memorable day!
We loved this tour. Mel was so friendly and knew everything about the area. The fresh pineapple was great. Lunch was fabulous. Don't miss this tour!!!
To start, Damien grew up in New York but is bilingual, which was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about Costa Rica, and our kids peppered him with every question imaginable. He was great with them, and we had an amazing experience at the secluded hot springs. The river behind the springs was just as fun, as we got to slide down the rocks and enjoy some swimming. Damien capped it off at a local restaurant, which was a great way to end the experience. He was our favorite guide during our stay in Costa Rica, and if we ever make it back, we'll be booking his other excursion options!
What a perfect way to spend the morning! After long of hiking trips this was just what we needed. The journey to the springs was so interesting as Damion told us all about Costa Rica and the local area. The pools are beautiful. All slightly different temperatures and we had the whole place to ourselves. We all enjoyed the river slides which were great fun and so refreshing. After spending the morning here we were driven to a great local restaurant for traditional Costa ricin food which was delicious. The chia seed drink and sugar cane lemonade were amazing too! Thanks Damion. 100% recommendation this trip!
We had the pleasure of doing the hot springs in the jungle tour. Making the reservation was extremely easy and Damien was professional and responsive. On the day of our trip, we met our guide, Mel. What a fantastic dude! Knowledgeable, courteous, and extremely nice. He made our trip the best excursion in Costa Rica. This was a relaxing experience with fun sliding down the river. We had the hot springs to ourselves for a group of 8. Our guides were amazing. Mel is from the area and shared a lot of information and background.
Absolutely a must when you go to Manuel Antonio. Our tourguide Damian made the experience memorable for my wife and I. It ended up being a private tour as we were the only ones who booked for that day. He took time to share the history of the area with us as we drove to the hot springs. All though we are fluent in spanish it is an added bonus for those who arent that he is from the states and can communicate in both languages fluently. The hot springs themselves are well kept and very relaxing. The water does not have a sulfer smell like other hotsprings which was a bonus. Crystal clear and warm. The river below was kind of cold but totally worth going into. The natural rock slide was fun to go down. As far as food goes we had a special treat since we were the only couple there and we were invited by the land owner to eat at his aunts house down the road. Best home cooked meal we have had while traveling. If you have reservations or doubts ... you can put them aside. Damian is very trustworthy and even gave us plenty of pointers for the remainder of our trip... up to and including the best coffee to take back home. Would recommend 100% and will definitely be booking with him again when we return with the extended family.
My family of 5 took this tour with Mel and we had an absolute blast! The hot springs were perfect for sore muscles and the river was a ton of fun with its natural slides. My kids loved them! We stopped at a local soda for lunch on the way home and it was one of the best meals we had in Costa Rica! I highly recommend this tour!
This was a fantastic experience and we much appreciated getting out into the jungle and having a typical Costa Rican meal in someone’s home. The hot springs/river were lovely…the pools well maintained and clean. We got there early and were the only ones there along with our guide, Mel, for the first part of our visit. It was heaven to get away from the tourists and to be immersed in the culture and nature of Costa Rica. Mel was personable and knowledgeable and we learned so much from him. Pura vida!
This was such a relaxing and unique experience while we were in Manuel Antonio, and getting to do it on Valentine’s Day made it even more special. Our guide was amazing from the start. He picked us up right on time and immediately made the whole day feel easy. On the way to the hot springs, we stopped for coffee and a quick snack, which was such a nice touch before heading into the jungle. Before getting into the hot springs, he took us on a walk through the cool stream nearby, pointing out different currents and little details along the way. It felt adventurous but still calm, like we were easing into the experience. Once we made it to the hot springs, it felt peaceful and tucked away. We did mud face masks and just soaked in the warm water, surrounded by jungle. Spending Valentine’s Day relaxing in natural hot springs in the middle of the rainforest felt pretty perfect. Our guide brought us fresh pineapple, butter cookies, and fruit punch while we relaxed, which made it feel even more thoughtful. We were also able to bring our own alcoholic drinks, which was a nice option if you want to make it a little more celebratory. After the springs, we had a local lunch that was absolutely delicious. It felt like the perfect way to end the experience. We were dropped back at our hotel right on time, which wrapped everything up smoothly. If you are looking for something relaxing but still connected to nature, this is such a great choice.
