Situada na Piazza del Duomo, no coração de Florença, fica a gloriosa Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, encimada pela cúpula de Brunelleschi, uma verdadeira obra-prima da engenharia. Na praça também é possível admirar o Batistério e a torre sineira de Giotto, que compartilham estilos decorativos semelhantes em verde, branco e rosa.
Criada como parte de um projeto de mudanças drásticas no centro histórico de Florença no final de 1800, hoje a Piazza della Repubblica está repleta de cafés, esplanadas e lojas, uma lembrança das suas origens antigas como local do fórum romano.
A praça é o principal ponto de origem e história da República Florentina e ainda mantém a reputação de centro político da cidade. A praça é cercada pelo Palazzo Vecchio (prefeitura), pela Galeria Uffizi e pela Loggia della Signoria - uma galeria de esculturas ao ar livre de arte antiga e renascentista.
Esta ponte medieval de pedra foi a única ponte em Florença que foi poupada da destruição durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Característica são as lojas construídas nas laterais, que costumavam ser uma prática comum: porém, os açougueiros, agricultores e curtidores de antigamente são substituídos por joalheiros, negociantes de arte e vendedores de souvenirs.

Aqui você terá tempo para descobrir e admirar monumentos universalmente conhecidos como a Torre Inclinada de Pisa, a Catedral de Pisa, o Batistério de Pisa e o Camposanto Monumentale (Cemitério Monumental), todos magníficos exemplos da arquitetura românica.
A torre sineira, conhecida como Torre Inclinada de Pisa, é de longe o edifício mais famoso da "Piazza dei Miracoli". Iniciada em 1173, a torre está inclinada desde o início da sua construção e é amplamente reconhecida como um notável feito de engenharia. Este espectacular monumento pode ser apreciado desde o solo ou subindo os 273 degraus até ao topo, de onde terá uma bela vista sobre a envolvente.

Booked this excursion for 4 adults. We were picked up at the port and had the same driver for the entire time and a dedicated tour guide for the walking tour of Florence. Just the four of us! Great pictures at Pisa. Sis and B-I-L went in the Baptistry. Hubs and I enjoyed a coffee at a cafe. Tour guide in Florence was excellent. Giacomo was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed his insights. Had time for lunch at the rooftop restaurant in Florence. Back to the ship with no worries about time. Highly recommend!

Adriana was our tour guide in Florence and she was absolutely amazing! In a short period of time we walked through Florence and avoided crowds, tried amazing food and gelato at more lowkey spots and she was funny and engaging the whole time. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Europe. Also our driver Francesco was so accommodating and got us safely to and from our destinations quickly while navigating crazy weather. 5/5!
Small number of participants (5), a great driver and guide that set a nice pace. Go to Pisa for the tower, Florence for the beauty and much smaller crowds than our other stops.
Our driver and tour guide were both professional, knowledgeable and punctual. They were very empathetic and accommodating to a family that came ill-prepared to walk on the cobblestone streets of Europe, pointing out places to go to get out of the heat while the rest of us toured these beautiful cities. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic as he safely guided us to key areas while explaining the history of what we were seeing. They kept track of time, ensuring we returned to our cruise ship on time. It was a most enjoyable day. Just an FYI: I would suggest that if you are unable to walk long distances or walk on uneven surfaces this may not be the tour for you.
Well worth the time. We were looking for a good balance between walking and driving, and this was perfect. Our driver to Pisa and Florence, Micheal, was very friendly and informative. Our walking guide in Florence, jacamo (sp?), was also very friendly and informative. This tour takes you to the key sites and provides relevant information, however, it does not provide tickets to anywhere on the tour, which is what we expected. This is a quick way to visit places, and that was important to us since we wanted to get back to Livorno to board our cruise ship with plenty of time. To improve, add another 30 min in Pisa.
We had a fantastic tour! Starting from our incredible driver Simone who showed us a great time and made sure we were hydrated and always on time at all of our destinations. His English was excellent and we truly enjoyed Pisa and Florence. Our tour guide was wonderful too. We highly recommend this tour!
