We were scammed. I purchased three tickets for the Duomo the evening before the date and aviator never showed up. Then a couple were at the Duomo at the same scheduled time and infmed me that the tour was canceled, even before Viator took my money for the tour. I was as scammed and want my refund.
This is an entrance ticket only, no guides. Other than visiting and seeing the Duomo, really learned nothing about it
It was disappointing because the cathedral ended up being closed to the public on the day of our ticket. The museum was good and we could kind of see the cathedral when we went into the crypt. It was disappointing to spend so much money on something and not be able to see the main attraction. It wasn't a holiday so it would have been appreciated if there was some sort of notification from trip advisor that the cathedral was closed to the public that day.
Great for our family, especially skip-the-kine, as we had a very tight schedule
Texted an issue and got right back to me. So simple and easy. I got confused on where to go and texted them and they helped me right away.
Pay for guided tour no one showed up made a call was told it's not guided tour I am my own. Got ripped off don't book
It was 100 degrees in Florence and you could not but ticket without the bell tower in the app. In addition the trip advisor app will not allow student purchase. Internet for guided tour iffy so not worth it
Well worth the money but the instructions were confusing. There was a meeting point but then a text was sent to me (that I didn’t see) that said just go and use the tickets in the text. So we spent quite some time trying to find the vendor at the meeting point. Finally when I called he was super nice and met us and explained that he had sent a text. After that it was super easy and convenient. I’d recommend this to anyone.
We never got to see the inside because the ticket process was a fail. It was not clear that what we purchased after visiting the Trip Advisor website was merely a voucher, not an actual ticket. By the time we discovered this, our scheduled entry time had passed.
The Duomo officially opens at 10:15 (the Bell Tower opens at 10:00). Make sure you get in line EARLY! We got in line at 9:50, we were about 40 people back from the front, and by 10:15am the line was at least 250 people behind us. I recommend going immediately to the Crypt because the space is narrow and difficult to take your time to read the information and appreciate what you are seeing when it gets crowded - which happened about 20 min after we arrived.
