We had such a wonderful time! All the locations were great with delicious food! It was definitely a hilite of our trip, our guide was friendly and knowledgeable of the food and culture! We would highly recommend Oaxaca food tours to anyone
It was a fun afternoon, seeing a variety of vendors (tortillas, cheese, bread, vegetables) and trying different foods (in several off the beaten track restaurants) with a very engaged and interesting guide.
The Puerto Food tour with Indra was excellent. Great variety of food types and stops. Wonderful visit to the centre of the city including the market. Indra is a local guide. She was enthusiastic, very knowledgeable about the food, the restaurant owners and the history of the city and Oaxaca state. We could tell she had authentic relationships at each stop on the tour. This was definitely an excellent way to see the real puerto Escondido
When they say “come hungry” - believe it! Be ready to taste a lot, learn a lot and walk a lot! Our guide, Indra was fun, knowledgeable and welcoming. We loved our food tour and highly recommend it as a way to become familiar with the wonderful food and culture of Puerto Escondido.
This was a fantastic tour. We went Saturday, January 17 at 3pm. Our guide (Indra?) was amazing. She kept us moving, on time, and made certain we were together and safe. There were seven of us. The tour was paced well with eating at different spots and proper portions. We learned about food, the culture, and the history of Escondido. We learned about different moles, coffee, cacao, and mezcal. We made our own tortillas. It was worth every penny and the 3.5 hours time. We left with bread, snacks, candy and a map of places visited and what we had there all in a gift bag. That bag came in handy as my wife and I bought coffee and tamarind mezcal.
Indra was an excellent guide who made a great effort to teach and entertain while touring us from one quaint culinary stop to another. We tried a great range of tasty local dishes and drinks and were all completely full by the end. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
Our guide Indra was fantastic. We tried food that we wouldn’t have found on our own and really liked it. Glad we did the tour
