We had an AMAZING time with Tito on our Champagne tour! Tito and his team did a fantastic job communicating with us and meeting our dietary and accessibility needs during our tour. Tito was incredibly informative and kind, and the two houses we visited were amazing (and our lunch was fantastic). This tour was by far the best experience we had in Paris. Thank you, Tito, and My Winedays for an unforgettable day!
Dear Ash, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that you had such a memorable day with Titouan and that the communication, flexibility, and care throughout the experience made a difference. It is especially lovely to know that the houses visited and the lunch were such highlights. We will be sure to share your kind words with Titouan. Best regards, My WineDays Team
I booked the "Champagne Tour with 10 Wine Tastings" expecting to visit actual vineyards, walk among the vines, and enjoy lunch at a local vineyard with the owners as described in the tour listing. Unfortunately, the experience was very different from what was advertised. We visited three champagne houses, none of which were located at actual vineyards. All three stops were at business offices or facilities within the town of Champagne, with no vineyard experience included. Our first stop consisted of only one tasting. The second stop was a restaurant in town where lunch was served along with four tastings. Despite the tour description, no vineyard owners were present. When we expressed our disappointment about not seeing any real vineyards, our driver went "off tour" and stopped briefly at a vineyard so we could take photos of actual grape vines. He even pulled a warm bottle of champagne from the back of the shuttle that he said was "left over from another tour" so we could use it for pictures and share a glass. While we appreciated the effort, it highlighted how different the actual tour was from what had been advertised. Our final stop was another champagne house business office with no vineyard in sight. After touring a basement museum, we were given a tasting outdoors next to the restroom area, which was far from the vineyard ambiance we expected. We received only three tastings at this location, bringing the total to nine tastings rather than the ten advertised. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable , but the tour itself did not deliver the vineyard experience promised in the description. If you are looking to visit actual vineyards, meet growers, and experience the Champagne countryside, this tour may not meet your expectations.
Dear Marlynn, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, we would like to provide some additional context regarding the tour. Many visitors expect Champagne houses and production facilities to be located directly among the vineyards. For logistical and historical reasons, production sites, cellars, and tasting facilities are generally located within villages and towns, while the vineyards themselves are spread throughout the surrounding countryside. Regarding lunch, it was held at a wine estate as described. While the owner was not personally present that day, a dedicated ambassador from the estate welcomed the group, shared the history of the house, and guided guests through the Champagnes served during the tasting experience. We also understand your wished to spend more time among the vines. For this reason, your guide made an additional stop of approximately twenty minutes in the vineyards to provide a closer look at the terroir and explain the work carried out throughout the year. The bottle opened during this stop was not leftover from another tour, but a bottle specifically opened on site so guests could fully enjoy the moment while overlooking the vineyards. As for the tastings, the tour includes a variety of tasting formats throughout the day, including standalone tastings and pairings served during lunch. We are sorry if the count felt different from your expectations, but the intention is always to provide a comprehensive introduction to Champagne through several producers and styles. We are nevertheless pleased to hear that you found your guide knowledgeable and enjoyable throughout the day. We appreciate your comments, as they help us better understand how guests interpret the tour description and how we can continue improving the experience. Best regards, My WineDays Team
Cedric, our driver and advisor was great. Felt safe with his driving. He was on time to collect all of us. Cedric gave us lots of incidental information as we went through Paris and out to Reims. The champagne houses were very welcoming and informative. Thoroughly enjoyed the tours but most importantly the champagne! Lunch at the Collery Champage house was wonderful. We have taken away a lot of information and will look at champagne in a very different light. Viva la Paris ❤️
Dear Lesley, Many thanks for your wonderful words. It is great to know that you had such a great time, and everyone was welcoming. We will pass along your kind words to Cédric. Looking forward to welcoming you in the future. Best regards, My WineDays Team
This was more than just a tasting, it was an immersive journey into Champagne’s heritage. We visited stunning boutique wineries, enjoyed delicious food, and tasted Champagnes that were truly unique. Our guide was exceptional, making the experience informative and fun. An unforgettable day!
Dear Auranne, Thank you so much for your kind review. We are pleased that you enjoyed this unique experience in Champagne! And thrilled that your guide made it special with his passion and knowledge! We hope to see you on an other tour! Wishing you a nice time in Paris! Best regards, My WineDays Team
What a day! 🥂 From the moment we arrived, we felt completely immersed in the magic of Champagne. Our guide was incredible, so friendly, passionate, and eager to share stories about the region and its wines. Walking through the vineyards, learning about the winemaking process, and tasting exceptional Champagnes right in the cellars was simply unforgettable. Sitting in the middle of the vines with a glass in hand felt like a dream. Every detail was thoughtful, and the day felt entirely tailored to us. We left with full hearts, sparkling memories, and a new love for Champagne. ✨
Dear Maxim, Thank you so much for your wonderful message. We are thrilled to hear that your Champagne experience was so memorable and that your guide made the day special with their passion and knowledge. It is delightful to know you enjoyed the vineyards, tastings, and the personalized touches throughout the day. Best regards, My WineDays Team
Cannot recommend enough. Our guide Bastien was wonderful. He had a great welcoming personality and truth depth of knowledge and love for Champagne. This tour was the perfect day. We were picked up in Paris at our hotel on time which was nice since it was fairly early. We were transported in a comfortable, air conditioned van and given water. We were even offered to stop at a local pastry shop on the way for breakfast. It was a small group as promised as well, we went with two other women who ended up also being very charming. Our tour started with a breathtaking monument park atop a hill overlooking a village and vineyards and some local rose champagne. Next we visited 3 different champagne houses and got to try several lovely champagnes. Each house was family owned but had a different flair/size and flavor which was really cool to see. Also, the lunch was fantastic, some of the best food we had in Paris which is saying a lot. Getting to drive through the French country side was definitely an added bonus. Overall this tour stood out because of our guide, being picked up and dropped off in Paris, and the variety of smaller/local champagne houses we got to see. My whole family, even my dad who is an avid beer drinker, said it was a great day! I learned a lot about champagne! Worth every penny!
Dear Rachelle, Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear you had such a great day with Bastien. We will make sure to pass on you kind words to him, he will be thrilled! We are glad you enjoyed the variety of family-owned Champagne houses and the warm atmosphere of the small group! Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience, we would love to welcome you back for more adventures! Best regards, My WineDays Team
We were very disappointed in the booking process. We were all set to go on May 12, and then about 48 hours prior we got a phone call from the tour company stating their driver was sick so they were canceling our tour, but we could upgrade to another champagne tour that cost an additional 558 euros after we already paid $550+. We were shocked because there were no other options that close to the tour date. We were also surprised to see that there was still a tour listed for May 11th and May 13th that wasn’t canceled. We felt that they probably did not have enough people for both tours so they were trying to consolidate for the higher tour. It wasn’t a small amount to upgrade but more than what we paid for the original tour! We spent so much time planning and then also trying to find something different while in Paris. The company also told us if we canceled with Viator and booked directly with them they would give us a 10% discount. The amount listed above was with the discount. We called Viator customer service to see if they could help us and they were polite but did not come up with a solution, other than canceling our tour so we were refunded. We are so disappointed because we have booked with viator multiple times over the years with trips and I think booking directly with companies for a deeper discount is the way to go. Now we are unable to go to Reims on our trip. We are very disappointed and wasted a lot of time. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision.
Dear Emily, Thank you for your feedback. We are genuinely sorry for the frustration and inconvenience caused by the cancellation of your tour, and we appreciate the opportunity to provide some context. The experience you originally booked was a newly launched tour, offered at a special 20% introductory discount, which brought the price to €496 for two people. Unfortunately, our guide unexpectedly fell ill shortly before the scheduled date, and we did not have an available replacement guide on such short notice. As an alternative, we offered you a another Champagne experience that includes a guided tour of a Champagne house — something not included in your original booking. This premium tour is normally priced at €558 for two, and since it is already live on Viator and not part of our new launch, no promotional discounts are possible through the platform. To make up for the price difference, we offered a 10% direct booking discount, which we could only apply outside Viator due to their pricing structure. This was never meant as pressure, but as a good-faith gesture to offer a solution quickly so close to your travel date. Your original booking payment would have been of course fully refunded, and it was not meant for you to pay twice the amount. We also want to clarify the confusion around availability: The May 11th tour was not available for new bookings by the time of our call, as we were already within the 24-hour booking cutoff and it was a Saturday. The May 13th tour had already reached full capacity and was therefore closed for further reservations. We understand how disappointing it must have been to have your plans disrupted. We truly hope you will consider giving us another opportunity in the future to deliver the high-quality experience we are known for, and to help you create the Champagne memories you were looking forward to. Best regards, My WineDays Team
Our day in Champagne was an amazing experience. We have done winery tours before, but this was our first time learning about Champagne. The production process is so different from other wines, and we gained a new appreciation for it. Our itinerary was well-planned. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. A perfect day!
Dear Jean, Thank you for your kind words. We are delighted that your first experience learning about Champagne was so memorable. It is great to hear the itinerary and our guide made it a perfect day. We hope to welcome you again for more discoveries! Warm Regards, My WineDays Team
This was by far the best wine tour I’ve ever done! The wineries were intimate with generous tastings, the experience was so much more personal than visiting big Champagne houses. I loved learning about the history of Champagne.
Dear Maryl, Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us! We are glad that you had such a great time exploring the authentic side of champagne with smaller estate. We hope to welcome you again on your next trip to Paris! Best regards, My WineDays Team
From start to finish, this tour was flawless. The hotel pickup in Paris was easy, and the drive to Champagne was comfortable and enjoyable. We learned so much from our expert guide and had the opportunity to meet real winemakers. A must-do!
Dear Julia, Thank you! We are delighted to know the whole experience felt smooth and memorable. Meeting real winemakers and learning more about Champagne is exactly what we love to share! Kind regards My WineDays Team
