Our travel group of 32 explored Benin, Togo & Ghana in 14 days and it was an exceptional trip. This was my 4th visit to a different part of Africa and based on other trips, it's the tour guide that determines whether your trip will be one that you really enjoy. We had two different tour guides, Isaac for the first 4 days and George Benson for 10 days. Both guides were really superior but George was with the group the longest and always went a step above, making sure everyone was enjoying the tours. George was very knowledgeable, sharing and explaining the history, pointing out different landscapes as we traveled on the bus, helping us to negotiate purchases and money conversions, keeping us supplied with water, and so many things. Overall, we felt safe with George as our tour guide. Thank you for making this a trip of a lifetime. I am still telling my friends about the wonderful experience.
What a experience, words can't explain. You will need to visit Africa. Thank you to our tour guides first Issac for a excellent tour thur Benin and Togo. Ghana tour guide George Benson he killed it 👏. All I can say is that we cover so much on this trip. Please if you ever want to book a trip this company is excellent, and excellent customer service, patience and helpful in all areas. I have a new family. Much love Issac and George
We had a very mixed experienced on our trip with Continent Tours. It started amazingly with our incredible guide Joshua for the first week through Ghana. He was so good at explaining Ghanaian history and culture to us, and we left feeling that we had a really good understanding, as well as leaving a little piece of our hearts in Ghana. However it all went downhill with our next guide for the week in Togo/Benin. I have travelled to over 60 countries in the last 15 years and Romeo was by far the WORST guide I have ever had. Rude, didn’t know much, didn’t listen to us, was annoyed when we asked him questions, counts translate basic things for us and so many more problems (SO. MANY.). I was completely and utterly appalled by this level of “service”. If it wasn’t for our amazing driver, Mr Martins, I probably would have booked a flight out of Togo several days early to avoid having to deal with this guide. Mr Martins basically had to take over the job as guide as well as his usual duties of driver. He was funny, kind, knowledgeable and just an all round great guy. I am torn on if I would do another trip with Continent Tours. I guess it’s 50/50 on if you have an amazing experience or a terrible one…
Dear Mr. Petrass, We sincerely apologize for the negative experience you had in Togo with Romeo. Here at Continent Tours, our customers satisfaction is our priority and we genuinely regret that falling short of that expectation with the guide in Togo. We have worked with Romeo for over 10 years now and this came to us as a surprise and we immediately addressed the situation with him to learn more about what could have possibly gone wrong. On the issue of the e-visa, he mentioned that when you showed him the document, he explained to you that e-visas works better with arrivals through the Lome Airport and not the land borders. He used his network at the borders to negotiate your way through the land borders. He never anticipated you would encounter any further challenges at the airport. He also felt he could have done more to make your trip better than how things went and he sincerely apologized for his shortfalls. I completely understand how frustrating things went and we would like to assure you that this situation will not happen again. Our Operations Manager is already aware as you spoke with her and all team members are working to ensure that this never happen to you or any of our cherished customers in the near future. Thank you for your patience in this matter and we look forward to the opportunity of making your next trip a memory worth repeating in the near future. Kind regards,
As a travel agency we had a group on the Ghana - Togo - Benin tour. The organization was professional, the local guide was very prepared, accomodations were fine. We absolutely recommend this trip. Special thanks to Ms. Tina for all the help!
Dear Mr. Adam, We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to leave us a feedback on our service. On behalf of the team here at Continent Tours, thank you for allowing us to serve your customers. We hope to serve you again soon!. All the best!
A special shout out, to the valiant Continent Tours staff members, that made my Ghana tour, a total success! First, and above all else, I want to thank Continent Tours Event Coordinator, Tina, Tour Guide Representative, Ernest, and Transportation Specialist, Shaibu, for my wonderful experience, during my time in Ghana. Your combined efforts, gave me one of the most spiritually uplifting, and heartwarming times of my life! I will have fond memories of my Ghanaian Homecoming, for years to come! Thank you all, for the adventure of a life time! My 14-day tour of Ghana, was not just another run of the mill tour of an African country. This tour was special, because it was in answer to the call, from the people of Ghana, for us, “lost souls”, to come back home. Because I am an African-American, born and raised in the 1960s, and educated in the American learning system, I know only a partial, and very selective truth, of the hardships of enslaved Africans, during the forced re-location to the Americas. To learn firsthand, what Africans went through, while being stolen from Africa, Bob Marley’s words, was a real eye opener. I am fortunate to have made the journey back to mother Africa, and to have contributed to her still unfolding story. I would highly encourage anyone, with a curiosity for African history, to allow Continent Tours, to arrange their own personal homecoming tour back to Africa. My tour was very well organized! The historical sites, and cultural events visited in the course of my day, were arranged in a manner, that allowed for maximum exposure, to the activities on the schedule. My tour guide was expertly versed, in the past and present history of the areas we visited during the tour. There was never a dull moment in my daily activities. Getting from here to there, our driver, expertly navigated the challenges of the Ghanaian roadsides, without incident. All aspects of passenger comfort and safety were strictly adhered to at all times. I could not be more pleased with the professional service I received from the Continent Tours staff. I would highly recommend “Continent Tours” to anyone wishing to experience Ghana and other available countries in Africa!
Dear Kevin, We are pleased to hear that you had such an amazing time here in Ghana and our team made your experience a memory worth repeating. Our doors are always open and it will be our pleasure to welcome you once again to explore other fascinating destinations in West Africa. Thank you for your feedback!
