We had an amazing time here! Our instructor Jenn was friendly and knowledgeable and very happy to share more. The food and materials were well prepared and we deeply enjoyed the experience. Kudos!
Enjoyable moments with them, as we team up with SG colleagues to complete 3 dishes.
This was a wonderful way to learn about Singapore and her people. The class had a wonderful positive and interactive vibe and we felt like we were part of a family home! Helen and Hera are amazing storytellers, telling us about their families and their lives in Singapore through food! We went to the laksa class and the instruction and discussion was very helpful - Helen and Hera helped us understand why we were doing what we were doing with the recipe. They provided pragmatic advice and alternative ingredients depending on availability in your home country. The small class size meant hands on instruction as needed. The three hour class was value for money and we had a lovely lunch with what we had cooked. We will definitely do another class when we return to Singapore.
We had an incredible time learning to cook chicken masala with Ms. Jenn! She was so knowledgeable—not just about the food, but also about teaching a group with a wide range of ages and experience levels. We had our two kids with us, and she did a wonderful job encouraging them, answering all of their questions, and making them feel included throughout the class. There were four other participants, and it was such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It was fun getting to know everyone while cooking together. I highly recommend taking a class here, especially if you have the opportunity to learn from Ms. Jenn. Her assistant (I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name!) was equally kind and helpful. The meal we prepared was absolutely delicious and so satisfying—it gave us the perfect boost of energy to continue exploring Chinatown afterward. The location is also incredibly convenient, just steps from the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and only a short walk from the MRT station. This was one of the highlights of our visit to Singapore, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone!
My sister told me about this experience and am so glad I did try it too. My friend from Perth joined the session. Easy to book. What a great way to learn about Singapore cuisine through a hands on approach. The 2 ladies were so professional and friendly. Nur and Karen are so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. I loved the way they shared what else to try food wise while in Singapore. Thank you for this amazing memory to treasure.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this terrific cooking experience. Jen and Nur were enthusiastic, flexible and truly competent teachers. They made everyone feel welcome. We cooked quite complicated food and we both absolutely loved it. Then we had the opportunity to eat it and it was delicious. I would highly recommend this as a fun activity to do when you’re visiting Singapore.
Amazing experience. Was so much fun and was very imformative. Would definitely recommend.
Jenn was a fantastic teacher! Not only did we learn to cook some delicious dishes, we also learned about other local specialties. Very hands on, great experience!
Jenn was very knowledgeable and provided information on Singapore history, culture, food and education. We appreciated her cooking techniques and advice on spices. We made Biryani, Masala chicken, Raita, and rice. Food Playground is clean, bright, and welcoming. We highly recommend this amazing experience! We appreciated Jenn’s patience, expertise and welcoming nature.
My partner and I really enjoyed the class and would recommend it to visitors to Singapore. The class starts with short cultural food education that was very interesting and interactive. Our leader, Kiat Hui guided us through each recipe and was a great support. I am so happy that we chose this experience, and would recommend doing the same.
