Great guide. A group of people who entered the climate of celebration to life and the joy of living. An inspiring and fun experience
I was supposed to go with some friends, but a medical emergency at the last moment required that I go solo. Everyone from the local experience made it fun. I went to a previous Oktoberfest in 1989, and after 36 years, I will not wait that long to go again.
The guide Lauren was really funny and insightful. I loved to learn fun facts like the history behind the devil’s footprint in the Frauenkirche, why the Oktoberfest is in September, also to FINALLY learn the song it’s sang in the Oktoberfest! I had a blast!
Sam and Lauren were phenomenal guides—truly made our Oktoberfest experience unforgettable! From sharing the rich history of München to making sure we were well taken care of once seated, they went above and beyond. They checked in on us often, and thanks to them, we had prime seats for the entire spectacle. Five stars isn’t enough—this was a 5+ star experience!
Thank you so much for your review of our Oktoberfest Experience. We agree, Sam and Lauren are top notch!
HIGHLY recommend doing Oktoberfest through this experience, especially for first time Oktoberfest attendees! I admit the experience would have been quite overwhelming if not for doing it through this tour. We had AMAZING balcony reserved seating in the Hofbrau tent, with two drink tickets and one meal ticket per person. The energy was 10/10, and our tour guides, Sam and Lauren, were INCREDIBLE. I’m quite certain that all the tour guides are wonderful, but we’re biased and absolutely loved our experience with Sam and Lauren. (Lauren, go Buckeyes! 😂) This is a must do and see! Thank you for the ultimate Oktoberfest experience!!!
Thank you so much for the fantastic review Elisabeth! 🍻 We’re thrilled you loved your Oktoberfest experience — Sam and Lauren will be over the moon to hear your kind words, and we are so happy to have them in our team. We'll let Lauren respond to you personally about the sports team, we're scared to get involved. lol ;)
The tour guide arrived late. The breakfast was a Beer and a Sauge. His people’s skill is not the best. At the end of the tour, he left with only orientation of the train station to be taken. Too expensive for the tour given.
Dear Ismael, We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your tour with us, and regret that you have chosen to leave a negative review, but we do want to clarify a few important points for the sake of accuracy. Our team was at the meeting point early (myself included - you even took away an umbrella from me because you did not have one and failed to prepare for the weather). We were clearly visible with bright red umbrellas and already speaking with guests well before the tour began. No one was late. The guide on your tour has over 16 years of experience and is one of our best and most requested guides. The breakfast provided is not “just a beer and a sausage” — it’s a traditional Bavarian Weißwurst Frühstück, part of Munich’s cultural heritage, complete with a short history about the monks and wheat beer brewing. We also offer vegetarian and vegan options. In fact, we are the only Munich tour company offering this Oktoberfest add-on with reserved seating. We even give every guest a custom made gift with your name etched into it!! We also want to note that we are tour operators, not babysitters. We carefully design our Oktoberfest experience to include a hearty breakfast and food throughout the day to help balance the effects of alcohol. Despite that, we remember you clearly because you were visibly intoxicated, belligerent toward staff, and unfortunately spilled an entire liter of beer on our guide. Your wife, however, was absolutely lovely and a pleasure to have with the group. We clearly indicate online and during the tour that we will finish at the Oktoberfest at your reserved seats. We do NOT chaperone every guest home. We fully stand behind our guide and our team in this instance. Thousands of guests have thoroughly enjoyed this same experience and many return year after year because of the quality and care we put into our tours. We hope that future readers understand that negative reviews do not always reflect the full story. Kind Regards, Tim / Owner
We got to walk around some of the main parts of the city, eat a delicious Bavarian breakfast, see some of the parade, and attend Oktoberfest! This was an amazing experience that was well thought and laid out. Some great planning and seat reservations! Thank you so much.
It’s expensive but worth it! The tour guides were very informative and answered all questions asked by the group. The tour through the city then to Oktoberfest was great! Fun, relaxing and very friendly! Planned out well & very organised. Highly recommend!
For first timers to Oktoberfest , the theory of taking a tour like this works well, although a bit expensive. We got a brief overview of Munich history as we gathered around the Mariensaule statue, then off to a local brew house for a delicious Munich breakfast which was unexpectedly quite good. As it was the first day of Oktoberfest, we were directed to the opening day parade…fun to watch all the wagons and bands parade by, then on to our reserved table within one of the big Oktoberfest tents. Our guide meticulously got us through the very heavy crowd into our assigned tent. Unfortunately it was a warm day outside, and our reserved table was on the 2nd level in the back corner so you could not see the main downstairs floor when seated and as heat rises our area was exceptionally hot. Watching the orchestra of servers as they carried 15 plus steins of beer at a time to the tables, listening to the live band, people watching, taking pictures all added to the fun of the moment. Only downside was that one of our co-tour leaders, Heidi, had a tough time organizing the food order. Tables around us were getting their meals as we continued to wait for ours. So we were there inside the tent a little over 2 hours before some of the chicken platters came out since she did not get the orders in promptly. Most of us had finished our beer and not until we asked about the food (14:00, 2 hours after arriving) was it determined that the order had not been placed yet by Heidi even though she had our table info for about an hour. Some at our table were frustrated and left early not waiting on the food because of how hot the upper level was. Two people at our table never got their chicken plate in all the confusion before we left. We finally got our roasted chicken dish at 14:35ish (nothing special, just a half chicken all by itself on a plate, but it was tender) with the tour ending at 15:00 (and the ok to be able to stay at our table until 16:00). Warning to the wise, even though 2 beer are included with the meal for the price you pay for this tour, you must pay 3-5 euros per beer and 3-5 euros for the chicken meal as cash tip for the servers when they bring you these items. Was it worth the expensive price before tip money? No not really, but it is an experience like no other.
Fun time before and while at Oktoberfest. The guide did a great job and is friendly and personable. Everything promised was provided. We were taken to the Holfbrau House beer tent for 4 hours where typical German music was played. It was fun and I recommend this tour.
