This is a very interactive experience, but can be very reading heavy. Maybe i’d do a guided tour next time. The view from the roof is fantastic and the beer selection is enormous.
We stopped by because we had spare time and am glad we did. You can spend as much or as little time as you wish. The exhibits are interactive and I learned more than I thought I would. It was surprising when the walls automatically closed in a room and then the walls taught us about fermentation. The roof top bar has a huge selection of styles.
Excellent tour, very informative and comprehensive. The tasting on the rooftop based on our preferences is very pleasant!
Great experience. If you want to know all about the stories about Belgian beer culture. And then finish with a beer of your choice on a beautiful roof terrace. Recommended!
Beer world was part of my 24 hr solo travel vlog weekend. It is well located in a stunning building a street back fromm the grand place. Overall the attraction is set out well, very clean and there is lots of information. IF when you visit these type of attractions you are one to read every bit of info put Infront of you then great, you'll be here for two hours no problem but if you prefer visual and interactive things then like me you'll be done in 20 minutes. There was a fair few interactive sections but it was very basic child like stuff, the only good bit was the beer recommendations part at the end (You answer some questions and it recommends some beers based on how you answer. They then print these onto a beer mat and you take it to the roof top bar and try a beer! I'm not sure what I was expecting but it has heavy on the long info boards and the interactive stuff was too basic for my liking. The entrance staff were friendly, the staff at the midway point where you try the beers not so much as they seemed confused that I was there. The girls said things like oh have you finished the tour, you try the beer at the end. I don't know why they would say this (how would they know how long I've been in there?), they then tried to direct me up the stairs it's as if they didn't want to give me the two shot glass sized beers to try it was most awkward. I had rooftop bar entry as part of my trip, this was really good as the weather was nice BUT it was very busy on the roof and it took a while to get a table. The only way down is one of the two elevators but one was broken so I had to wait in a queue for 20 mins to get out (there was no other way out it was jarring) Also one last thing it was HOT in there, not sure if they had the heating on but it was sweltering! I'd only recommend this if you really enjoy lots of reading I'll leave on a positive, the gift shop was good! Lots of Belgium beers to buy and all sorts of clothing, mementos etc.
Cheers !
A really outstanding museum experience. Fun, interesting, clever and interactive in an engaging way. Two tastings part way and then to finish with a beer 8n the rooftop bar was amazing. The view is another reason to come.
Thank you so much for this amazing review ! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience at the Belgian Beer World and that the interactive journey, tastings, and final beer made your visit memorable And of course, we’re happy the rooftop experience at the Beerlab Rooftop and its view over Brussels were a highlight as well. We hope to welcome you back again soon !
This is a fine exhibition but really a bit slow and repetitive for adults. There are plenty of simple interactive things that are very easy to engage with but some are really a bit simplistic. The things to read move very slowly (or maybe that's because I'm an adult native English speaker) and, although the time suggested for the visit is 1 to 1.5 hrs, I could have done it in 40/45 mins or less. The beer tasting is a good idea and the rooftop bar on a sunny day: great.

Brilliant informative, interactive tour, suitable for all ages! On four levels of a beautiful ex- exchange building. Airy, toilets on all levels (very clean and tidy) staff on hand to help/ explain how exhibits work. Reasonable entrance fee of 21.50 euros, which included free beer too. Sunny rooftop bar if you'd prefer to take thinks at a slower pace.

That is an hour of my time I’m never getting back. Doors didn’t open until 10.31. Very child like self guided tour
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. The doors of the Belgian Beer World do indeed open every day from 10:30, and we understand there may have been a short wait before entry on that day. The experience is designed as a self-guided visit, but we take your comments seriously and will share them with our team as we continuously work to improve the visitor journey. We hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future
It's an excellent interactive museum for all beer lovers! Also a wealth of information about the making of beer.
