My friend and I loved the tour! Perfect for beginners, super chill vibes, just what we wanted! Great meeting spot and great guide too. Everything from the beginning till the end took us 2 h(maybe 2h 10min), and we spend about 1h40min on the water, which was absolutely ideal for my first time on a kayak.
This kayak tour was unfortunately not a good experience. We had a start time of 6:30pm and didn’t get on the water until after 7pm as the guides wanted to wait for the tardy folks. We spent about 1.25 hours on the water total despite being advertised as a two hour tour. The group ended up being at least 20 people as well, so we didn’t get very far out from our original loading spot. Tour guides were not helpful and couldn’t hear anything they were saying. This would be a better experience for somebody who was brand new to kayaking and doesn’t want to stray far.
We're sorry that a few late customers delayed our tour launch time. Unfortunately, the Sunset tour is an experience where we can't make up the time on the other end due to safety and darkness/nightfall. If you'd like to come back for a daytime kayak rental at some other point, we'd be happy to comp you for an hour rental. Feel free to reach out to us if that would be of interest.
It took longer than advertised so we'd be on the lake at sunset. Fine by us, but good to know. It was beautiful, and Si did a great job of teaching us about lake Tahoe.
It was a great experience! Our tour guide Simon was very helpful with introducing us to the basic kayaking techniques as well as giving us some interesting information on Lake Tahoe. The sunset view is awesome too. Highly recommend this tour.
Si was an excellent guide. And storyteller. The sunset was beautiful!! Definitely would recommend to everyone!
Inez and Ryleigh were excellent guides, very attentive and informative. They even took pictures for us. We saw both sunset and the moon on our trip! Both were equally beautiful. I would recommend!
We had a terrific time on our anniversary weekend. The staff was great about communicating with us about the changing weather conditions and potential need for cancellation, due to high winds and rain. In the end, Jessie gave us a lovely tour and she was so nice and informative.
Fantastic experience. Guide was great and knew so much history of the lake and land surrounding it! Beautiful and not scary to experience!
