Experiência arqueológica privada Cañada de la Virgen

We had an amazing day with our guide, Leo. From the historical perspective to the amazing lunch at a private ranch, the day was filled with new information about this region’s past, present, and people. Be ready to walk… though it’s about a mile and a half total, there is a good amount of hilly and bumpy terrain.

We had previously visited Chichen Itza and were curious about the Cañada de la Virgen. Luis was our private tour guide and he was perfect! He arrived with a driver then took us by shuttle once we arrived at our destination. All the while, sharing the history and possible explanations of this site. Since he has also been a guide at Chichen Itza, he gave us more information about that historic site. He took time to answer all our questions. We finished the tour at a rustic ranch house to eat an authentic home made Mexican lunch. It was like stepping back in time. The tour was memorable and Luis was an exceptional guide!

Luis was a wonderful guide, Juan a great driver, and the trip was exhilarating. It occupies half a day and includes a great lunch cooked in a hacienda near the site. It has been the high spot of our trip. Highly recommended!

Israel was a very knowledgeable and coureteus guide witha great understanding of both Mexican and native lore. He had very understandable english. He gave us a good understanding of the history of the indigenius tribes and the areas we were touring. The tour and walking guide of the ancient ruin site was facinating and Israel made it even more so with his knowledge of so many details and intersting stories. The ride, although not so comfortable, was made more relaxing with his stories about Mxican history.

This was a wonderful tour. Our guide, Israel, was knowledgeable and so attentive to our needs and questions. The archaeological site was both an informative and spiritual experience. The lunch after was so special because of the hosts and the unique dishes from the area. Thank you for a wonderful tour!

The ride through the country, the historical site, the authentic lunch and especially our tour guide were all amazing.

We hired Israel to take us to Canada de la Virgen. We had 2 69 year olds, some 30-somethings, and a 6 year old on our tour. Israel made it a great experience for everyone! He was incredibly knowledgeable and interesting. Our lunch after visiting the site at the pre-Hispanic spot was the best we had in Mexico!!

The tour exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide was great and shared some very interesting facts. And the Mexican lunch was truly authentic - delicious.
