Long day of driving but worth it for the views. I'd skip the walk across the lakeside as it's hard on the feet without the right shoes. Lake cruise is mediocre to dull.

The amount of driving on the tour is in line with our advertised itinerary, as we cover a lot of spectacular scenery throughout the day. We also recommend that guests bring comfortable walking shoes, as the walk to Blea Tarn follows tracks and uneven paths. That said, the walk is entirely optional, and our guide lets everyone know on the day that you can take part in as much or as little of the walking as you wish. With regards to the lake cruise, this is an optional activity that is not arranged or operated by BusyBus, so guests are free to choose whether or not they wish to participate. Great day in the Lake District! Would recommend to anyone. Take the boat ride and enjoy the gingerbread!
We booked our trip online with this company and we honestly couldn't have had a better experience! Minibus is very comfortable and air-conditioned which made the journey very relaxing. Our tour guide was an absolute gentleman - he knew so much about the Lake District and checked in on us regularly during our stops. We had plenty of time to explore at each destination and didn't feel rushed at all. It was great to cover off so many locations in a single day. We would definitely book with BusyBus again!
The experience did not happen. We waited an hour at the pickup point, and finally started calling, only to find out the driver/tour guide was sick and had cancelled. Very frustrating!
Lake District tour is absolutely a right choice if you have a short stay in Liverpool and want to experience nature.
A great getaway, with a beautiful boat ride. Incredible views, and the guide and the driver were fantastic.
Excellent value. Add the river cruise it's worth it. Smallish bus so could go down windy roads a big bus can't reach. Went to so many charming places. Would have been so much trickier renting a car and figuring it out myself. Our guide was so nice I'm sorry I forget her name. June 29 tour date. Also, get the gingerbread it's the best ever. Also get the apple pie...

A wonderful full day with Shelly seeing various famously beautiful and historic parts of the Lake District. She shared lots of useful and interesting information. A great way to see this part of the country.
I travelled with my wife and niece on a sunny and warm spring in May 2026. Great experience to be able to see the beauty of Lake District coupled with fun interaction with Adrian, our driver, who has lots of dad jokes that he threw along while on the journey. Highly recommended tour.
