Joseph Mulligan was our bus driver/tour guide. He led us (27 folks from the USA) for 10 of our 12 day tour of Ireland. He picked us up at the Dublin Airport, drove us to Westport, Donegal, Belfast and back to Dublin for night stays with many great stops along the way. He was very informative, told stories, sang Irish Songs, was quick to answer questions and gave us some subtle hints to lead a better life. When we had to say goodbye to him in Dublin, it was like saying goodbye to a friend. My wife and I would, without hesitation, recommend Joseph for any adventure you have in Ireland.
Such a great day! From the ease of pick up and drop off to the fun company of Gerard the whole day driving to the Giant Causeway and back. Gerard was flexible and accommodating! Definitely recommend this private tour!
We had three couples take the tour of Northern Ireland. Joseph was a blast. Lots if history, singing, stories, and wonderful memories. Got to see the Glens and all the other sites mentioned in the tour! If this is the only tour you take in Ireland you should take his tour. All of us had a great time with nothing but good things to say. Very comfortable nice bus, good food, and good company. Joseph gave great advice as to what to see and do. Would love to go back and do it again some day! Be sure to ask for Joseph Mulligan.
Thank you very much and I’m so glad you enjoyed travelling with me , I just love when people enjoy life as much as I do , and I also love it when we have great days out , and that people love Ireland as much as I do , it’s my absolute pleasure, to be able to call this home and call y’all new friends ! Slan
Set up a tour for 14 of us off a cruise ship and made sure that Joey Mulligan was our driver and guide after reading the glowing reviews posted below. We were so enchanted with him that the time flew by as we had a customized tour. He is a excellent singer, a superb entertainer, an extremely knowledgeable person and a joy to be around. He made us laugh, taught us songs and got us to our sites early and with an extensive understanding of what we were seeing. Do not miss a tour with Joey if you are in Belfast.
Fantastic! Loved it , I really enjoyed all the fun and craic we had , it’s been a while since then, but I really enjoyed showing you around , it’s something that I thrive to do , I’m so glad you whited your tour and howl to see y’all in the future! Slan ‘
I've been to Ireland three times but have never been able to make it to Velfast or the Causeway. The shops tour was excellent. We had a great driver and a very knowledgeable tour guide. Our group was moderate in size. The Causeway is quite something else. As you walk down to the main area you look at a few average looking rocks and think - what's the big deal. Then you head a little further, round the corner and oh my what a sight. It is really cool! Everyone who works at the site are so nice and friendly. I loved every minute of it. Then our driver gave us a nice tour of the city and provided us with a lot of background d i formation on the turmoil and terrible history that had gone on there. Very interesting. Great tour,
Joey is the best tour guide I have ever had. His Mercedes bus which held all ten of us comfortably and was perfect for us, can take up to 16 people. We had a few older people in our party who were easily able to get off and on. Joey showed up on time and got us back to the ship on time He was so knowledgeable and shared with tus the amazing history of Ireland, legend and folklore. Additionally he serenaded us with beautiful Irish song in an amazing voice. He was flexible and changed our tour up to meet our desires. We would go with Joey on a journey to the end of the earth and back. Thank you Joey!
My wife and I just returned from a truly wonderful full day tour in Northern Ireland with Joseph Patrick Mulligan who I'll refer to as Joey from now on. From the beginning to end Joey shared music, humor, and a great knowledge of history with us and the others in our small group. The countryside was breathtaking and he took us to many scenic sites on our way to the Giant's Causeway, a geological wonder on the coast of Northern Ireland. From strolls in the countryside, to a visit to the oldest whiskey distillery in the world in Bushmill, a photo stop by Dunluce Castle, a stop for ice cream, and a pub lunch, Joey regalled us with Irish songs and could not have been more knowledgeable about his beloved country. The trip ended with him singing "A Parting Glass," one of my favorite songs. He is the ideal host for a tour like this, so do yourself a favor if you are ever out Belfast way and give Joey and his touring company a shout
We were a group of 8 people and were picked up directly from the ship by our guide Joseph and after he greeted us all, we started. First he sang us an Irish folk song, he said a great voice and a lot about Ireland, stories, legends all sorts of things and the Irish songs were not neglected either. All in all it was a great day, we had a lot of fun with Joey and on the way back we all sang together until we got to the ship. I can only recommend anyone to ride with Joey, he is super nice!
We arrived in Belfast on the Viking Sun, as a stop on our British Isles Cruise, and had previously make arrangements with Joseph Patrick Mulligan......aka "The Singing Irishman" for a private tour. He was a beautiful man and a wonderfully energetic, knowledgeable & chatty tour guide! He knew the area wonderfully well and had stories and fables to entertain you! We plan to return to Belfast for the phenomenal beauty of the country side (not so much the city) and we will surely find this bloke again!
Hi guys thanks for leaving such nice words about our day out , I’m soo glad you enjoyed your tour, it was great, from the moment I picked you up at your cruise ship in Belfast , to I dropped you back, so glad you enjoyed my Singing and stories and hope to see you again , thanks Joseph
I highly recommend The Irish Tour Guide - Joseph Patrick Mulligan!! He was fantastic!! He provided the greatest Irish experience. Singing, stories, and history. He went above and beyond to make our small group comfortable, happy, and entertained. All the stops included in our tour were mapped out nicely and gave us plenty of time at each stop. He also, worked with me before the tour to make sure we saw what we wanted. His timely replies were very appreciated. Our stop at the Giants Causeway was extra special with Joseph arranging a guide to walk us down to the magnificent rocks along the shore. Our group of 10 continued "raving" about our Belfast tour being the best tour of our cruise. Joseph (THEIRISHTOURGUIDE) is my first contact when I return to the beautiful island of Ireland.
Hi sue . so happy you enjoyed my tour , we always try to make people love are litttle country, I’m glad you enjoyed my singing and it was my pleasure picking you up at your cruiseship in Belfast and if you ever return to Ireland as you said look me up.
