This tour was really fun. Well worth it. Kirsty was an amazing guide and really kept things interesting. I’m super atheistic and don’t believe at all in ghosts… this was still great. A lot of history and stories. You should book.
We had a fantastic time on this tour! Kirsty was an amazing guide, friendly, engaging, and a wonderful storyteller. She brought the history to life while weaving in the spooky stories, and the whole experience felt authentic rather than overly theatrical. It was the perfect mix of informative and eerie. We loved our ghost tour, even with a little in the beginning! Jude was very funny, highly informed and kept a great pace for the group. We didn't expect to love the vaults as much as we did, as that was our favorite part of the trip. We would definitely recommend Mercat Tours to anyone going to Scotland!
One of the highlights of my visit to Edinburgh. The guide was very engaging and told a great story. The meeting place was easy to find and the route through the vaults and into the graveyard was great and easy to navigate. Highly recommend.

There is lots of information, get to see some really cool things. Our guide was great and knowledgeable but the tour is really long and there is a lot of talking. Could be cut down by at least 30 minutes. Overall good experience though!
We had Ash as a storyteller and guide. She was amazing, we really enjoyed it and had a great time with her ! Full of energy and so enthusiastic, she was an wonderful guide ! I highly recommend this tour !

The tour was a great mix of spooky stories and the history of Edinburgh. Nicola did an amazing job telling the stories in a way that brought them to life. I felt uneasy in the vaults and I'm usually hard to scare. Highly recommend this tour!

We booked the Doomed, Dead & Buried Tour and Sarah was our guide. It gives you a unique underground experience by taking you to the Blair Street Underground Vaults. Located beneath the South Bridge in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town. Sarah was a delight, and her ghost stories leant to a perfect backdrop experience of these 18th Century vaults. The tour ended in Canongate Kirk. Absolutely a fun experience.
