Slightly mixed review... on the one hand our driver/guide Pansilou greatly deserves 5 stars (see more). Not only did he drive very carefully on often dangerous roads but he was also always on time, very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend it. On the other hand, I was disappointed by the last minute changes in hotels even though I had planned this tour for September. This shows the level of incompetence of the travel planner who handled our file. For example, the itinerary mentioned two nights at the Marriott Weligamma with half board (near Mirissa) but the final itinerary communicated just before departure mentioned Bentota and above all the travel planner finally told me that they could not book Bentota lack of space and asked me to book myself which not only took me from a 5 star to a 4 star on a much less beautiful beach but above all cost me 93 euros more than the 400 euros deducted from the cost of the circuit (between the 438 euros for the room for two days and the 55 euros for the 2 evening meals). This is one example among others. The list of hotels was not respected and neither was the standard. Either the travel planner did it at the last moment to reopen my September file or he lured me with luxurious hotels to deceive me. Either way, it's incompetence. Morality.. book your hotels yourself and only book a driver guide like Pansilou. This will save you from unnecessary frustration and annoyance. As for the boss of Safe Lanka Tours, spare me from justifying you with absurd or incongruous reasons, thank you.
Dear Sir, Thanks for your valuable feedback and it is important for us to improve more in the future. We have done a wonderful tour with you and arranged very beautiful experiences in Sri Lanka with unforgettable memories. Regarding your comments we have arranged all the hotels as per your interested and regarding the hotel at Mirissa it was unavailable due to that only we have given you some options but as you were not okay only we have informed that you can do the needful to book the hotel for those two nights and we have deducted the per night rate for two nights from your total amount. That is the most fair thing we can do from our end and we have provided you some options with the budget range that we have quoted per night because in Sri Lanka due to the new tax component hotel prices are increased and it can be checked in the google as well. So when a hotel is not available we can't get the same hotel and we have to go with another option instead of that and as you were not okay only we have returned the money for those two days. And you have reserved a hotel as per your interest sir. Hope you can understand the same from your end because at any point we haven't charged you extra haven't done anything bad we have always been with you and given you the best fair solution from our end. Again thanks for your feedback and we will improve ourselves in the future.
