What a disaster. The tour was billed to include transportation to and from Naples but didn't. We made way to Pompeii on the train and on arrival no one was there to meet us even though we advised the operator of our arrival time. Our guide showed up 20 minutes late. After finally meeting up with the guide our transportation showed up not in Naples as expected but at the Pompeii train station. So, our ride from Naples became a 2 KM around through the town and back to the entrance gate where we had walked to earlier looking for our guide. To compound the delay our guide had to wait 30 minutes for the tour operator to text him our entry tickets. We entered the park 1.5 hours later than scheduled. Worse, our guide spoke so softly in accented English making it difficult to understand. AND, he had the habit of caressing both my wife and me when we complained. Creepy! And to rub salt into the wound, there was no transportation arranged for our return to Naples even though the price included transportation both directions.
Our guide was excellent leading us through Pompeii. I was in a walking boot with a wheelchair. I’m happy my family and I were able to see beautiful Pompeii with this special tour.
Found the tour when searching for Rome excursions. Didn't realize it was a three train trip to get to the starting point for a wheelchair accessible tour. When I started to plan to route the night before, I asked for an exception to the cancellation policy since I knew I couldn't make it, as I am in a wheelchair and I don't speak Italian, but they wouldn't even discuss it. THIS IS NOT A ROME TOUR. IT IS NOT a reasonable WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE from ROME.
Momma our Guide. Beautiful woman and knows her Pompeii history.we walked and walked but didn’t realize the time we spent with her! Worth ever penny of the tour. She actually treated us more like a friend than guide! Book this tour! She was a lot of fun!
The tour was outstanding! Our tour guide made everything come to life with her iPad videos and illustrations! Thank you, Stefania!
Our guide Mariano was fabulous! I am handicapped in a scooter and he probably gave us the bed day ever!! He made sure I could see everything I could possibly see. He was very knowledgeable , fun and kind! I would recommend him to anyone wanting to spend the day in Capri. We will never forget it! Thank you Mariano for a wonderful day!!
