Sarnath é um belo local budista e considerado um dos mais sagrados entre quatro lugares diferentes associados à vida de Buda. Hoje, este local está repleto de vários templos budistas, um sítio-museu e vestígios arqueológicos. Você conhece a filosofia do Budismo, histórias de nascimentos anteriores de Buda (os contos de Jataka) e tantas outras coisas relacionadas a este lugar.

Visitaremos o templo Mool Gandh Kuti Vihara, que foi construído pela 'Sociedade Mahabodhi' com sede no Sri Lanka. Este templo possui belos murais pintados por um artista japonês. Este templo também abriga as relíquias de Buda, que são expostas publicamente durante 3 dias em novembro.
Visitaremos este parque arqueológico que contém vestígios de antigos mosteiros budistas e muitas estupas.
Visitaremos o museu local que abriga o emblema nacional da Índia, uma das mais belas imagens de Buda e algumas outras esculturas muito importantes e significativas.
Este lugar tem os restos do pilar Ashokan, que também contém a inscrição na língua Pali e na escrita Brahmi. Este pilar tinha um capitel de leão com quatro leões encostados, que foi adotado como emblema nacional da Índia pós-independência.

Karan is incredibly smart and charismatic. What sets him apart from other tours is that he doesn’t just explain India and Varanasi but mostly importantly he was explaining things with a comparative approach against other cultures which shows his understanding and knowledge of not only India but also the rest of the world. Highly recommended! I took a tour with Karan to Sarnath. It was very good experience. Karan told me plenty of things about Sarnath and Varansi and also answerd all of my questions about religion, history, society and culture of India. This tour was really worthwhile, Karan organised everything for us from buying our museum tickets to grabbing us a delicious coconut drink/snack for the journey home. He was very well-informed and answered every question we had. We came away with a much better understanding of Buddhism in general, thanks to his in-depth explanations. Karan was also very considerate when we asked to postpone the original booking after we had a difficult night’s sleep. Would highly recommend!

It was very easy to understand, and they even came to pick me up at my hotel! After watching the puja, we took a boat ride to sightsee on the river! They explained a lot of things to me, so it was easy to understand! If you come to Varanasi, please give it a try as it's a great deal at 100 rupees!
