O Memorial do Genocídio de Kigali comemora o genocídio de Ruanda em 1994. Os restos mortais de mais de 250.000 pessoas estão enterrados lá. Há um centro de visitantes para estudantes e aqueles que desejam entender os eventos que levaram ao genocídio de 1994.
Indiba Arts Space, é um hub para artistas e amantes da arte, uma galeria e uma oficina. Os clientes conhecerão alguns dos principais artistas contemporâneos de Kigali, liderando um novo movimento para levar arte à comunidade local e aos turistas.
Question Coffee Cafe é um café de especialidades de última geração localizado em Kigali.
O Centro de Mulheres de Nyamirambo (NWC), uma ONG ruandesa, foi lançado no final de 2007 por 18 mulheres ruandesas que vivem em Nyamirambo, Kigali. Juntos, eles criaram um projeto que visava abordar a violência baseada em gênero, a desigualdade de gênero e a discriminação. Hoje, a missão do NWC é fornecer educação e treinamento vocacional para mulheres que não têm meios para pagar por esse treinamento por conta própria, para que possam obter melhores oportunidades de emprego. No final de 2013, a NWC lançou a linha de produtos “Umutima”, que significa “coração” em Kinyarwanda. Com este projeto, a NWC treina e emprega mulheres da comunidade para criar uma grande variedade de acessórios femininos, roupas infantis e produtos de decoração para casa. Atualmente são mais de 50 mulheres empregadas pela Umutima como costureiras. A Umutima e a NWC se transformaram em um modelo único e autossustentável, onde os lucros obtidos com a Umutima são usados para financiar as iniciativas da NWC, além de proporcionar benefícios e um salário justo às costureiras.

The visit was fantastic and very friendly. My guide Mathieu made the moment very special and inspiring. We had time to discuss about the culture, the people, the architecture and the history of Kigali. I'll definitely come back.
Great experience! I loved this was a half day tour and it was private. My guide, Junior, was a joy to get to know. He gave me some good info and took me to the places I was most interested in with the short amount of time I had. The genocide memorial was very emotional, which I knew it would be, but I'm glad I went. I also loved the coffee stop, what a cute coffee shop! The NGO stop was nice as well, but there was no demonstration as the girls were not in school that day. But I don't mind shopping and it was good to get a few gifts there. Definitely recommend this tour!
Oscar our tour guide was excellent in every way. He is a professional who takes his job seriously. He made sure we saw all the interesting sites, including the national genocide museum, an art gallery, the city market and Mt. Kigali. Oscar knows everything about the city and he made sure we had a good time. If you take this tour, be sure to request him. Thank you Oscar!

Jamal was excellent. He gave perfect tour of his country. He is very knowledgeable and spoke great English. He even offer to wait at restaurant to drop us at hotel.
We highly recommend touring Kigali Rwanda before heading to your gorilla trek. Our tour guide/driver Denis (with one "n") taught us so much about Rwandan history up to present that we are interested in learning more. We started with Denis in Kigali and had 3 days with him between there and the Volcanoes area/gorilla trekking and returning to the Kigali airport. Denis is safe AND dependable and someone you should hire.
Eugene our guide and driver was thoughtful and accommodating with water bottles. He made us feel safe the whole time!
What a fun day! This tour was totally customizable, so in addition to visiting the main market, an arts coop and coffee shop, we were able to add a stops at a local "milk bar" as well as the Hotel des Mille Collines, the property featured in the movie Hotel Rwanda. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the city and taught us a lot. We would definitely recommend this tour!
