This was not our first trip with Tuscany Private Tours, but it is the first time I have written a review. We have visited many fascinating historical places and wineries in Tuscany with Franco Ceccato, not just Siena and San Gimignano. He and his company are extremely reliable and strive to take you to the most beautiful, unique, and interesting locations. It is most relaxing to have Tuscany Private Tours transport you in your travel, for you do not have to worry about driving, traffic, parking, or tolls. I highly recommend their services, and my husband and I will definitely be back with Franco again next year!

We had a fantastic day in early August with our driver, Pasquale! I had considered renting a car to drive to Siena and San Gimignano, but I'm so glad that I chose to hire this private driver instead. Pasquale picked us up from our hotel in Florence in a beautiful, air conditioned van (an important feature in the summer). As we drove towards Siena, we talked through the details of the day, and Pasquale adjusted our itinerary after hearing more about our family. My kids needed more action than his typical clientele (retirees), so he suggested that we stop in Monteriggioni. They have an armor museum where we could try on various types of armor and hold swords and crossbows. It was a hit! From there, we went to Siena where Pasquale dropped us right in front of the Siena Cathedral. He gave us a map and a suggested walking route to our pickup point. On a hot day in the summer, it was really nice to not waste any time on parking. Afterwards, we drove to San Gimignano. Pasquale gave us some good tips on where to go and how to meet him on the other side of the village for pickup. We had a little bit of time left over, so Pasquale drove us to Piazzale Michelangelo for a nice view of Florence. Heading into the day, I was nervous that we would be too hot, my kids wouldn't want to walk through the hilly towns, and we would have to cut the day short. Instead, the van's AC kept us cool, Pasquale dropped us right in the middle of what we wanted to see, and the kids were engaged for the whole day. I couldn't be happier!

My husband booked this tour with Franco based on the reviews on trip advisor and I have to say we were blown away! My husband and I were with our two kids and Franco booked a private wine tour in Monte Carlo with a small winery that spoke very highly of his services. He knew our son was Celiac (gluten free) and he made sure that he would be taken care of at the winery. (The owner’s son also is gluten free) Franco was very knowledgeable about the area and kept the kids attention as well as ours. After traveling with different services in Paris and Tuscany, Franco was the best! My husband and I are already planning our next trip and if we come back to this area we will definitely be reaching out to Franco again! Thank you so much Franco! Xo

We booked Franco for a private tour through the Tuscan countryside and San Gimignano. We had an amazing day! Franco was fun, informative and made sure we tried small locks wines, got beautiful pictures and just had a comfortable relaxing day. I would highly recommend him. The car was spotless, he was early and flexible, allowing us to shift the plans as our day went on. I never felt rushed or a burden. Just an amazing day!!!! Not to mention, he has the best prices around.

We spent two fantastic days with Franco. Franco picked us up from the cruise port in Livorno then drove us to visit Siena, a lovely winery for lunch, and San Gimignano before taking us to our hotel in Florence for the night. He is so pleasant to listen to as he describes the Tuscan scenery. He was also able to provide us with great walking routes that worked for my husband who has limited mobility and uses a rollator walker even though Siena and San Gimignano are not accessible friendly cities. The winery on the first day of our tour was fantastic with beautiful views, friendly service, and homemade pasta. On our second day with Franco, he took us to Lucca, a winery near Montecarlo, and then made a quick stop in Pisa. The second winery was one of the biggest hits of our entire European cruise. The homemade ravioli was amazing and the tiramisu was the best I've ever had. We ended up ordering wine to be delivered to our home in the USA. I originally booked my trip with Franco for May 2020, but when COVID happened, he offered to refund my deposit. At the time, I told him to keep the deposit and I would reach out when we planned our next trip to Italy. More than 3 years later, Franco still honored my deposit! It was such a lovely experience to work with him.

We are a family of four (two adults & two teenagers) and we did a full day Siena, Monteriggioni and San Gimignano private tour departing Florence with Franco. Franco was exceptionally helpful, gave us information about Florence and its surrounding areas and suggestions of what to see and do during our stops. He didn't overwhelm us with information but seemed to give us the perfect amount! Franco was on time, friendly and his vehicle clean and comfortable. This was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip to Italy and can't recommend Franco enough.

Franco led us on a tour to San Gimignano, Greve, and the Chianti wine region and we had a fantastic time. He organized a wine tasting for our group at a beautiful family-run winery where we had a great lunch and tasted many outstanding wines. He was professional, knowledgeable, and entertaining. The vehicle was super comfortable and clean.

Franco arranged a delightful day trip for us! We decided to include Monteriggioni along with Siena, San Gimignano, and lunch at a winery. Our driver, Pasquale, picked us up in Florence promptly and kept us well entertained on our drive. He did an exceptional job of making sure that we had the best possible experience at each stop. It was clear that Pasquale is very dedicated to his job and his customers. He had thought of everything we might need, from the best place to get gelato to the prettiest views. We loved talking with him in the car and his driving was outstanding. Lunch at the winery was heavenly! This is a well-run and professional company. Franco's communication was excellent and the tour went off without a hitch. If you want to relax and enjoy a day in Tuscany without any hassle, definitely book a tour with Franco's company. (And book an equally wonderful Florence tour with his daughter Giulia!)
