Peche, Riley, and Valon were great hosts aboard the Sea Bird. Peche snorkeled with us and pointed out star fish, puffer fish, and sea snakes and was patient with our slower snorkelers. Riley serves a terrific margarita and the signature drink, "Sea Bird." Our after-snorkel snak was wonderful - plantain chips, mini buritos, bean dip, guac, and salsa. This was a great experience.

Great snorkeling trip! Perfect day for it. Riley and his crew were great. Cold drinks and lunch was yummy. Pura Vida...hope to see you all again!

Staff was very welcoming. Drinks and lunch were included. Everything tasted excellent. While we did have a private experience, the sail boat was run down. One of the masts were broken so we never even got to sail. The Snorkeling was awful. Clarity of water was not good and the spot we were taken to was right on the beach. Jet skis were very close by and scared the fish away. We got the see monkeys up close which was super cool and staff worked well with us to accommodate what we wanted to do. In end the it wasn’t worth the money and we would not go again:/

Our sailing and snorkeling experience was awesome! We were able to see some stingrays and dolphins in the distance. The crew was attentive and helpful, providing guidance with the snorkeling and pointing out different fish and sea plants and animals. The beaches were stunning and full of wildlife. Open bar and snacks were served, it was a lot of fun! Booking with Wendy was easy and I look forward to my next adventure with her crew.

Cruising on a sailboat is a different experience than the catamarans; the sailboat is much more of an intimate experience with less people onboard. SeaBird will take you to different beaches that are not traversed by the regular Catamarans - beautiful beaches, tranquil, beautiful waters, good snorkeling. You can book a private tour for a full or half day, request a stop at one of the beaches for a BBQ lunch, make special requests for food and beverage. They can cater to you and your group.

We had a fantastic day! My first time on a sailboat. I can’t get over it! Want go out again on our next visit. My husband had sailed, but he thought it was exceptional as well. We would recommend Sea Bird excursion to anyone visiting Guanacaste Costa Rica. You won’t be disappointed!

Great experience, owners were friendly as well as knowledgeable and welcoming crew! The lunch they provided was delicious, many drink options for our group of 15. They went out of their way to assure we had the best hospitality while on the water. We saw whales, turtles, snorkled and swam. I highly recommend this excursion, if your not interested in getting in the water, relax in one of the hammocks and soak in the view and sunshine! Pura Vida

We booked a private morning sail and snorkel for our group of four. We all had a fantastic time! From the start, the communication was excellent with Wendy. She also welcomed us at the beach the morning of our sail. Dave and the crew were very attentive. helpful, and friendly. They made sure we were all comfortable, and frequently offered drinks and snacks (the fresh fruit was a hit!). We enjoyed the remote spot that they took us snorkeling. During the sail, we saw turtles, rays, and a humpback whale (with her calf)! This was one of the first activities we did when we arrived in Costa Rica, and a wonderful way to kick off our vacation! It was a wonderful way to see everything and take in the beauty of Costa Rica while the crew pointed out many areas of interest. We would definitely book another trip with SeaBird Sailing! Thanks for an amazing time!

UNSAFE! My family of 6 capsized completely dumping all of us into shallow water with the boat coming ashore. Very little concern about safety. Lost bags, electronics ruined not to mention being banged up. Our private all day tour was a huge disappointment . Dave the owner? Was more like a passenger only providing a little info and discussion at first. Hardly talked after that. Going below deck easily showed what lack of pride in ownership of a boat. Wendy and Dave bought Seabird 3 years ago and moved from Colorado. I don’t think they have much experience boating. First stop was snorkeling and our beach bbq. Snorkeling was cloudy and very little to see. No guide to help. BBQ lunch was the worst meal I had entire visit to Coco. Had to eat on our laps with plastic chairs, no table. We called the main dish chicken mush, nothing bbq about it. Desert was on the boat and was kids cookies out of a wrapper. While on the beach the crew actually lost the dinghy for a bit when the crew had jumped out while the motor was running. Captain had to go running down the beach to get it. We actually had to wave them down from shore when all the crew was in the main boat to pick us up. At the next stop some of us wanted to stay on the boat and they said it was the crews lunch break and we should all go ashore. I guess they didn’t want any of the chicke mush earlier, plenty of it was left over. Towards the last few hours the crew looked like they had no idea what to do. They would ask us what to we wanted but had very little idea what the options could be miles off shore with limited time. Because no one was really enjoying themselves, crew our quests we ended up going in early an hour or so. Remember we capsized when coming back with over 1000$ in lost goods, luckily very little physical harm. Wendy made a minimal offer of a couple 100$ refund and said we had signed wavers releasing them from liability. UNSAFE and disappointing!
