Hello. Lily's Private Tours is amazing! My tour was a one day tour customised for my own prefences. My enlightened tourguide Jackie took me on a private tour around Xian. We visited 3 temples, the Wild Goose Pagoda, we watched a folk lore show, walked through Datang ever bright city, and had lunch. We also strolled down a upbeat street for where all the young ones hang out. It was pretty awesome. I imagine the night scene would be really inviting to younger crowds. We started at about 8am, we finished at about 4:30pm. It was great timing and very leisurely. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the temples and the differences and similarities... learned about localisation and indigenisation wrt the temples. The folklore was entertaining and brought about a sense of understanding about the culture in Xian and China. We interviewed a college student about his visits to several tempes in Xian. It made the tour even more worthwhile. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and conversations with Jackie. He is an amazing tour guide. I would recommend using Lily's Private Tours! Thank you Lily and Jackie for an amazing experience! Will see you on my next vacay!!! - Kerina.
The experience was EXCELLENT, the guide Michael was exceptional and served us all the time with extreme kindness. Showed all the details of the various places visited, Terracota Army, City Wall, Muslim neighborhood, ... took us to a fantastic lunch and, at the end of the afternoon indicated us a sensational show where we could learn a little bit of the Silk Road, ending by leaving us at the hotel but being available for any assistance. It is important to mention that the driver was also very kind and was always punctual in the marked places. It really was a great day.
I had a good time on this tour with Cathy. She has a lot of knowledge about the warriors and she was always happy to take me and my sister pictures. This made the tour very enjoyable. Having Cathy there made the experience more memorable because I was able to understand and made it very hassle free. She was very sweet and I felt she listened to our needs. The car ride was very comfortable too and very convenient for us. I recommend this tour and I would request Cathy if you can.
We loved this tour, during which we learned a lot about Xi’an’s history thanks to Cathy K our guide who was so knowledgeable and interesting to listen to 🙂. In addition she has been very proactive in trying that we wouldn’t suffer too much from the crowd (as we did this visit on a national holiday). The tour was well balanced between walking and resting time, the restaurant we had lunch into was simple yet really nice and we are happy we got the chance to discover it. We can only warmly recommend this tour ☺️.
This tour is so great. Even the youngest of our 3 kids enjoyed it ! Cathy K our guide was so knowledgeable and her way of telling us about Xi’an’s history was so interesting that we all learned a lot and the day went by really fast ! In addition she was very attentive to our needs and very pro-active in finding ways then we wouldn’t suffer too much from the crowd as we did our tour on a national holiday there really many people. I really strongly recommend this option if you don’t have much time to visit Xi’an.
We had a fantastic private day tour with our family of 5 (3 teenagers) and Michael with the driver Mr Wong. The tour consisted of Xian City Wall, Muslim Quarter and the Terracota Warriors , with lunch at an authentic restaurant trying the famous Biang Biang noodles. Everything was bespoke to our needs as our son has severe autism, ADHD, and all 3 kids with nut allergy. Michael made sure all the scheduling was as perfect as we could imagine it . The tour was made as comfortable as it could in the heat of summer at 35 degrees ! We even cycled a.section of the Xian wall to the kids delight. We would highly recommend Lily's tour with Michael ! Thanks for a perfect day.
Totally recomended tour in Xi'an! My guide, Michael, was superb! Nice guy, friendly, easy talk, very good English, and great guide. He continuously shared interesting facts about every place we visit, as well as suggestions of other things to do to make my stay in Xi'an more enjoyable. Food was also great, and Michael recommended some very traditional Xi'an dishes which were very tasty. Michael even dropped me off in a very nice area that evening as per my request, after we finished the tour, and gave me some tips about things to do, which ended up being one of the best moments I had in the city. 100% recommended!
My day tour of Xi’an was pleasant thanks to my guide, Michael. It was holiday but we had an early start to the day which was helpful in beating the crowd. I loved everything Xi’an and got to see the major landmarks (Terracotta Army, city wall and Muslim quarter) and tried very delicious food all in a day’s work. As a history buff, seeing the Terracotta Army was a dream come true for me. Michael was Passionate, Personal, Present and well Prepared! He was thoughtful of my needs as a solo traveller (taking pictures, going to restroom etc.). He impressed me with his knowledge about the overall historical development of Xi’an - from ancient to modern city. I learned a lot, and had an overall good experience 🤩💯 Thanks to Michael, the driver and Lily. Best wishes, Emmie from South Africa
We booked 5 days with Lily and cannot praise them enough. From Beijing to Xi’an to Chengdu, Vivian, Cathy and Cheryl were amazing! Knowledgeable, willing to accommodate our specific requests and each found us great local places to eat. Having drivers who can meet you and help you negotiate getting in and out of train stations and airports made all the difference.
Two beautiful days in the presence of Cathy. Our guide Cathy taught us a lot about this beautiful city. This city is full of history and Cathy has passed it on to us very well. The pace was very good, not too fast, and got to see a lot of things. Nice and very competent guide.
