Excursão privada de um dia ao Templo de Luxor e ao Templo de Karnak saindo do Porto de Safaga

Leaving Marsa Alam at 4 am, we made almost 6 hours of road (unfortunately the internal road is impassable and you have to go around passing through Safaga). We finally arrived in Luxor, where we found a very good guide in Italian ready to accompany us for two wonderful days. Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple and Valley of the Kings are well worth a visit. The tour was also very reasonably priced, especially considering that it included travel, accommodation, lunches, an Italian guide all to ourselves and the main entrance tickets

We were picked up at 3.00 am in the Pickalbatros resort and arrived at about 9.00 am in Luxor, a little earlier we put in the bus, our guide, which is the one that made the difference of the day... Rino is a very good Egyptologist who speaks perfect Italian and also consultant for the University of Pisa, very nice and explains really well the places you will visit. We saw 4 tombs and the Karnak temple, plus a visit to a village in the area and mini crossing of the Nile with lunch in a local restaurant. The experience was nice, however, I recommend spending more 'time available at the Karnak temple and avoid the visit to the Village, which in the end is basically only aimed at selling the handicrafts they created... Drivers a bit 'reckless, with sudden lane changes and also seemed against hand, but maybe it is normal in their streets .. We did almost the entire outward journey with a scent in the car so strong that it makes you get a headache, I recommend to eliminate it permanently because very annoying. In the end nice experience, but the trip is really tiring.... Rino super super top recommend absolutely. ..

Private tour booked from Marsa Alam to Luxor. Very pleasant that private is also really with them 2, so we were able to experience everything nicely at our own pace. This day is partly because of the passionate guide Mahmoud Hassan, who with his extensive knowledge, humor and enthusiasm became unforgettable. I booked online at the suggestion of a person who was 2 weeks before me in Luxor in the day by MARSA ALAM. Very professional drivers, clean and comfortable reserved van. Long journey because of too many stops and some avoidable as the bar at 09 on the way in the desert from Porto Ghalib to Qena, but to stimulate the local economy you accept it. Arrived 1h late, we lost some time in traffic and the guide served 30 minutes of visit as we returned at 4pm. Tour organized from 09.00 to 16.30, lasted 1.30 hours less. Travel time 6h on the way and 6h on the way back, far but worth it. I purchased in addition to the package in the day which includes the visit of: KARNAK, BOAT ON THE NILE, VALLEY OF THE TEMPLES, LUNCH, even the visit to LUXOR TIME that cost 25USD against a ticket cost of 750EGP, or about 13Euro, so more than 10euro spent for you do not know what. Great food at PARIS restaurant.

It's a reliable company, and Ahmed is a great multi-lingual and interesting guide. The guide and the driver were as flexible as possible with our requests, and did their best to cover the planned itinerary. The proposed itinerary is quite packed, and the distances to cover may make the site visits seem rushed. Consider it a high level overview. If you want to get to all recommended places in a day, you really need to start early, 8 or even 6 in the morning. Perhaps do not prepay for any extra stops or activities, in case you may not have the time to visit and end up wasting the money. If time permits, you may be able to negotiate an additional stop with the guide. If you're coming on a ship, definitely prepare for shorter visits, and perhaps fewer stops. Although small, Safaga port is very confusing. It took us an hour to exit and find our guide. The fastest would have been not waiting on any bus and just looking for and walking to the exit on our own. The fastest you can get from the port to a site in Luxor is about 3 hours. And that is if using the "toll" road, which the driver wants to avoid at night (perhaps due to unpredictable cost). It would take 4 hours using local roads . You could easily spend an hour at each site on average. A bit of time for lunch. And all tours seem to insist on doing some souvenir shopping. Plan accordingly if you're doing a day trip during a cruise stop. So, if you're mindful of time constraints and discuss your specific preferences ahead of time, you may have a great tour with this company.
