We had an excellent tour with Mohamed Abdul. He went beyond our expectations with information about the history of the Medina in Fes and other areas. He told us everywhere you would want to go. I highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed.
Driver/guide Youssef took us to the all the places mentioned in the tour comfortably and waited until we finish our visits. It was a good choice in a City like Marrakesh under a very hot weather of 39°.
A clear and interesting explanation of the visit, except that the guide dropped us off at a spice shop (Palace of Herbs) where we were pressured into buying products we did not want at exorbitant prices—150 euros at the register. Negative review on Google; we felt scammed.

We loved how Mohammed planned our day to start in the part of the Medina that is rarely visited by tourists. We could imagine daily life of a local. He shared just the right amount of personal life stories with specific history. As is typical, he took us to a herbal pharmacy and spice shop that he has “vetted” as being of high quality and educational. We did buy some spice blends and prickly pair oil for ageing skin. He led us to a small restaurant for lunch and returned to make sure we made it out of the Medina and back to our hotel.
This is a great tour if you want to see the main attractions of Fez! We went all around the Medina and outside of it, too. The guide is from Fez and was able to answer any question I had about the city. Although it included information about the city and its history, there were six or seven stops at retailers where the tour guide left me alone with the shop owners to show me their wares. I still learned about Fez and its offerings during these store visits, but this tour is best for folks who are ready and willing to spend money on things to bring home. For the record: they each claimed there was no obligation to buy...but all of them were full-on salesmen.
Great tour of the city. Totally recommend it. Picked up in time from my riad, lots of good explanations about the places.
This was a great tour! If you have any particular interests or goals, let Mohamed know and he will modify the tour accordingly. We learned a ton on the tour and got to see a lot of the Medina and even parts of the city.
A truly amazing day, tour guide was probably the best guide we have had anywhere in the world. Mohamed Abdul was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, answering all of our questions and explaining a lot of historical context. Highly recommend the tour, need to be in shape, tour includes a lot of miles, steps, and steep stairs. If you have the chance, make it a point to ask for Mohamed Abdul, we will definitely ask for him if we come back.
Such a fantastic day with Mohammed. He absolutely knows everything you could possibly want to know about his hometown of Fes. We learned so much on this tour and he took it at a nice pace for us. He has a great personality and was so fun to walk around with. Came to pick us up at our hotel so it was perfect! Highly recommend!
Our guide, Mohammed, was very kind and patient. He showed us everything we wanted to see and more. He was quite knowledgeable and efficient. He spoke very good French (we took the tour in French, our mother-tongue). He ended up spending 5 and a half hours with us. The tour was quite comprehensive. We did not feel pressured to buy things; sellers weren't too pushy except at the tannery. There, the one mistake we did was buy without first verifying that the price we were paying was reasonable. We later found out by visiting several other leather stores that we overpaid by quite a lot, but when the tannery people delivered our coats that had been fitted, they ended up agreeing to refund us a portion of what we paid, so at least we felt satisfied that we didn't get ripped off. Overall, we had a lovely day in Fes. I highly recommend getting a competent guide like Mohammed to take you around Fes because it's a true medieval labyrinth and you will struggle to see everything without a guide or understand the significance of what you come across.
