Montserrat é um mosteiro no topo da montanha situado no topo de uma montanha rochosa incomum. É o ponto mais alto das planícies catalãs. O mosteiro de Montserrat abriga “la Moreneta”, também chamada de Madona Negra. A lenda diz que os monges beneditinos encontraram a estátua e não puderam movê-la para construir seu mosteiro, então decidiram construí-la ao redor da estátua. Montserrat foi designado como Parque Nacional em 1987. Atualmente, é um local de peregrinação de pessoas de todo o mundo. Uma vez em Montserrat, desfrute de uma visita guiada de 45 minutos e, em seguida, você terá 2 horas para explorar. Você pode visitar la Moreneta, entrar no Museu, provar o licor caseiro do mosteiro, fazer uma caminhada tranquila.
A origem do mosteiro é incerta, mas acredita-se que a Virgem de Monsterrat (la Moreneta) foi encontrada por volta de 880. De acordo com as lendas, os monges constroem o mosteiro em torno da estátua. O mosteiro ainda funciona até hoje com mais de 70 monges. A basílica de Montserrat começou sua construção no século XVI e agora abriga um museu de arte. É também o local onde a Escolania, um dos mais antigos Coros de Rapazes da Europa, se apresenta durante as cerimónias religiosas.

Excellent service, very friendly MK and Aaron and helped with absolutely everything. Very happy!!
Aaron was fantastic! He made the whole trip so easy and hands off. When my four year-old got tired on the long walk, he offered to carry her on his shoulders for a bit. He even stopped in the gift shop to read her a story while I purchased my items. He was so kind and knowledgeable. This was a great tour for adults and for kids! We learned a lot and saw everything in a great amount of time. I’m so glad we booked and I would definitely book him again!

Vincenzo was an excellent guide. His knowledge of Catalonia and Monserrat is extensive. The tour included a driver and Vincenzo both of which were excellent. My son had a broken foot with limited mobility and both Vincenzo and the driver were very helpful. Montserrat is a very special place. Do not miss it if you are in Barcelona. I highly recommend this tour and highly recommend Vincenzo.

This was a wonderful tour with a comfortable bus and 3 very knowledgeable guides. Our main guide was Francesco who was just as charming as could be. Only downside was the cloudiness, but it was still worth the trip.

We had a private tour for a half day - it was great to have a pick up at the apartment. The driver and tour guide were great. We were able to park right near the restaurant and Monestary.
