Construído para o faraó Hatshepsut da décima oitava dinastia, que morreu em 1458 aC, o templo está localizado sob as falésias de Deir el-Bahari, na margem oeste do Nilo, perto do Vale dos Reis. Este templo mortuário é dedicado a Amon e Hatshepsut e está situado ao lado do templo mortuário de Mentuhotep II, que serviu de inspiração e, posteriormente, de pedreira. É considerado um dos "monumentos incomparáveis do antigo Egito."[1]
Um aspecto famoso de Karnak é o Grande Salão Hipostilo no Recinto de Amon-Re, uma área de salão de 5.000 m2 com 134 colunas maciças dispostas em 16 fileiras. Cento e vinte e duas dessas colunas têm 10 metros (33 pés) de altura e as outras 12 têm 21 metros (69 pés) de altura com um diâmetro de mais de 3 metros (9,8 pés). Estima-se que as arquitraves no topo dessas colunas pesem 70 toneladas. Essas arquitraves podem ter sido levantadas a essas alturas usando alavancas. Este seria um processo extremamente demorado e também exigiria um grande equilíbrio para chegar a alturas tão grandes.

While the guide is very knowledgeable & the tour itself was good, be aware of the actual costs for tickets and that they will try to scam you. As tickets arent included, the guide bought the tickets for us ‘to skip the queue’ when we got to each place to pay them back later. When we got to valley of the kings, the guide told us that to enter the tombs of Tutankhamun & Ramses VI it is USD$50 extra per person. We agreed to go into the tombs, but felt it was a lot so looked up the fees and it is not even $18 each to enter both tombs. They also took us to a shop in between locations where we were pressured into buying goods, and THEN told we must pay the guide back in cash for the tickets and had to use an ATM at the shop to get cash to give to them. When we questioned the cost of the tickets the only explanation was that they had to wait for us as guides aren’t allowed in the tombs (spent less than 10 mins in each tomb). We would be happy to pay a few extra USD for their time if they were upfront about the cost, however not $64 - especially since they will expect a tip on top.
At the end of the day I paid tip. It was 40%, so I thought it was good. I didn’t expect that the driver was angry for such amount. But he seemed confused and called Viator. Later he sent me some fine print saying I should have paid additional for the airport pickup. I didn’t notice such fine prints and he didn’t mention earlier. Anyway, fortunately I don’t owe him anything as the tip can cover whatever additional cost. But, every experience in Egypt was like this. You need to be really positive to feel good. Don’t come.
Such amazing time we did spend in our trip at Luxor City, we had really great tour guide given a good information about the Egyptian history Mohamed was fantastic and knowledgeable and very smart . We hardly recommended this tour to everyone

We had a great day visit the tomb's of Valley of the Nobel's in west bank , we did seen 6 Tomb's form the best there, we liked so much the Tomp of the grapes, the colours is so strong and very beautiful
