The driver was punctual and adjusted the trip according to my references. Activities were appropriate based on my level of energy after a long flight
Thank you for your kind review! We’re glad our driver was punctual and able to tailor the day to your preferences and energy level after your long flight. It’s wonderful to hear that the activities suited you. We hope to welcome you back to Tokyo soon for another great experience!
Our guide is super friendly, approachable, and on time in picking up his clients. He caters to our needs for what is allowed especially for my aunt who easily gets tired.
No one showed up for this tour! You have no idea the frustration and disappointment in just trying to get someone to help us! I would not recommend this company to my worse enemy! Thank you for ruining the beginning of my Tokyo vacation !!
I booked the Discover the best of Tokyo Tour with an English-speaking guide (fully customizable) expecting a guided, informative experience tailored to our interests. Unfortunately, what we got was essentially a driver with no engagement, no guidance, and zero customization. The day started off poorly — the driver showed up 15 minutes late at the meeting point, offered no real introduction, and gave no overview of the itinerary or options. Throughout the day, he never pointed out landmarks, gave no historical or cultural context, and didn’t initiate any conversation about Tokyo or our interests. Our first stop was Sensoji Temple, where he parked deep inside a parking garage blocks away. We had to walk up four levels of stairs in the heat just to reach the street, when he easily could have dropped us off nearby. At the site, he simply gestured and told us to go look around — no background or explanation at all. Worse, when we returned, his vehicle had been moved, making it confusing to find him again. At Tokyo Skytree, again there was no commentary or guidance along the way. I had to ask where we were going each time. For a tour labeled “customizable,” we were never asked what we wanted to do or if we had preferences. Lunch at the fish market was the one bright spot — but that was due to our own discovery. The driver offered no suggestions and didn’t seem familiar with the area. Later in Ginza, I texted to say we were ready to be picked up — and we ended up waiting on the sidewalk for 20 minutes. By the afternoon, we were so underwhelmed we skipped the final stop (a park) and asked to return to our hotel. At no point did the driver ask if we had specific interests or propose any alternatives. This did not feel like a tour, and it definitely wasn’t guided. Overall, this was a big letdown — especially for the price. If you’re looking for an actual guide who can engage, inform, and tailor the day to your preferences, this is not it. At best, it’s a glorified private driver — and not a particularly helpful one.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations during your recent tour of Tokyo. Your experience does not reflect the high standards of service we aim to provide, especially in terms of guidance, engagement, and customization. We would like to clarify that this tour is not a guided tour, which means a guide does not accompany you throughout the day. Instead, it is a private vehicle service with an English-speaking driver who assists you with navigation and basic communication. The driver is not a guide and may not have in-depth knowledge of every site’s history or details. Regarding customization, it means that you need to inform us about your preferences beyond the attractions we already included, so we can create a tailored itinerary in advance. Unfortunately, this process requires communication beforehand, and we apologize if this was not made clear at booking. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us enhance our offerings, and we appreciate your honesty. We hope you might consider giving us another opportunity to provide a more enriching and tailored experience in the future. Thank you once again for your input. Best regards,
We were able to see the most important places in Tokyo in one day with a local guide who explained the places to us and was very attentive.
Abdul was great and his English was perfect. Brought us to all the Tokyo highlights and was very informative. Highly recommend.
A lovely, patient young man was our guide. However, when he arrived, he had the wrong schedule for us. So I was happy I asked for specifics. Then, because it rained all day, we had to compromise on where we went. Great points: Fish market. Interesting breakfast there and lots to see. Also, interesting history. Also, the Buddist temple area was a beautiful and interesting history. Then, the sky lab view was worthwhile. After that , it rained too heavily to explore the Harajuku area. Then, our young guide was willing to take us anywhere. Negative:He had never heard of the Art/ Fish aquarium located in a famous Ginza department store, which we decided to see( from my research). That was a great creative experience. Second negative:. We were never told to book tickets online from the company we booked with, in advance, for anything we wanted to experience. So we never got to go inside the Imperial Palace. We ended our 10 hr tour 1 and 1/2 hrs early because of the weather and no ideas from our guide on where to go. He also had no chatter on the history of areas we were driving through.
We were in Tokyo a couple of days before the start of our cruise, so we booked a private tour through TripAdvisor so we could get an overview of the city. Abdul, our guide, contacted us through WhatsApp the night before and coordinated his (early) arrival. He showed us the sights and guided us through the Fish Market area, took us to see the Temple and dropped us off at the Skytree with instructions of where to meet afterwards. He continued at our own pace and showed us all the sights available. Abdul was a great host and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.
I had a wonderful time on the Tokyo day tour! Our guide, Abdul, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. He shared so much interesting information about the city's history and culture, and was always happy to answer questions. The day was well-organized with a good balance of sightseeing and free time. Overall, it was a lovely way to explore Tokyo and I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city!
Very enjoyable tour alltogether. Maz was friendly and showed us around. However, I missed a more in depth explanation of the places that we visited, in particular and Tokio/Japan, in general. We were lucky to enjoy sakura in the park.
