Este passeio histórico leva você a quatro marcos emblemáticos: Praça Kathmandu Durbar, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath e Swayambhunath. Esses lugares surpreendentemente interessantes são conhecidos por seu significado histórico, cultural e religioso que simboliza o Nepal e sua existência.

O Templo Swayambhunath, conhecido mundialmente como templo de macacos, é significativo para os seguidores da religião hindu e budista. Possui uma torre cônica elevada, feita de cobre e banhado a ouro, com os olhos do Senhor Buda adornados em todos os quatro lados da base da torre. Do seu auge, é possível ver a vista 360 de todo o vale de Katmandu, que é um encontro de tirar o fôlego.
O templo de Pashupatinath é um dos templos hindus mais sagrados e divinos, dedicado ao Senhor Shiva em Katmandu. Senta-se nas margens do rio Baghmati. Pessoas de todo o mundo a reúnem em números para prestar respeito e receber bênçãos pela salvação. O pátio do templo contém vários outros pequenos templos dedicados a vários deuses e deusas hindus. É um universo sagrado de crenças religiosas que o torna imperdível uma vez na vida para fervorosos seguidores religiosos.
O Bouddhanath Stupa é um dos maiores stupas do sul da Ásia, influenciado pelo budismo tibetano. É uma cúpula caiada de branco pintada com os olhos que tudo vêem do Buda. Essa é uma estrutura altamente simbólica que lembra as pessoas sobre o caminho de Buda para a iluminação. Este pátio sagrado contém cinquenta outros mosteiros tibetanos. Pode-se vislumbrar arte e arquitetura distintas do antigo Nepal e Tibete, o que é inspirador e memorável.
A Praça Kathmandu Durbar é o coração tradicional da cidade e o mais espetacular legado da arquitetura tradicional de Katmandu. A praça de Katmandu remonta aos séculos XVII e XVIII. A área da Praça Durbar é uma confluência de três quadrados fracamente ligados, a Praça Basantapur, a área da Praça Durbar e o ponto de entrada para o Hanuman Dhoka com aglomerados de templos a distâncias próximas.

A fun, interesting and flexible (private) day in Kathmandu. The city has loads to offer and our guide Umesh made it all accessible. My wife and I really appreciate the flexibility of private as we often wish to shorten, lengthen or otherwise change the itinerary. On this occasion, for example, we engaged our guide to help us find a tailor and negotiate for the sewing of some bespoke shirts. It all makes the city so much more accessible!
