Excursão privada de dia inteiro a Abu Simbel saindo de Aswan

We were a group of 8 on a Viking RiverCruise. The excursion to Abu Simbel did not have enough plane seats available for all of us so we booked the day through Viator. We were connected with Omar, our tour guide from Black Dragon Tours. He did a fabulous job. Excellent historical knowledge and a joy to travel with. We had a private 8 person tour in a comfortable van that drove us 3 hrs to the temples. Yes a plane ride is much quicker but would have had to sit in the airport waiting for 2 hrs to leave so we arrived at the site at least 45 min before them. It was quite interesting driving thru the Sahara dessert and learned quite a bit about it. We arrived safely about 10:00 AM and had the entire place to ourselves!! Not a single person in the temples with us. As we were finishing up the groups from out boat that flew were just arriving. The point is we saved $400 per person on the same excursion, had the best experience at the temples and arrived back only 30 min after everyone else. This is a great alternative. Request Omar he’s wonderful!!

Only drivers are requested without a guide or food or drink. The comfortable, air-conditioned car, and driver Hany's safe driving and care made it easy to travel long hours in hot weather. Communication through WhatsApp is smooth, and there is no problem meeting outside the designated pickup location. Hany was very resourceful. The price is not cheap, but it is recommended for those who want to travel as stress-free as possible.

Amazing experience. Driver was great and communicated very well. I would highly recommend this tour. We actually started at 9 AM because we wanted to eat breakfast and it was enough time. When we got there, it was after all the tour buses left so there was only a few people there. This was in May 2026

We had a fantastic experience with Mick and his team! We had originally booked a day tour to Abu Simbel, but had a change of plans a few days before the trip (we decided to spend a night in Abu Simbel and drive directly to Luxor the following day), and Mick arranged everything for us. Our driver, Magdy, took very good care of us during the long trip from Aswan to Abu Simbel and the following day from Abu Simbel to Luxor. He's a very safe driver, knows his way around the desert, and he's always ready to go the extra mile to make the trip as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Needless to say, you can't save on safety when driving so many hours in Egypt, so this trip was totally worth the money! We can't recommend them enough, and we'll definitely book with them again the next time!

The Viator tour of Abu Simbel worked out GREAT for the 4 of us... We were picked up promptly at the dock where are river cruise ship was situated, returned to that precise location as well. Our ride was comfortable and we had an outstanding tour guide, Omar. He provided a thorough explanation of the statuary and construction and relocation of this marvel

We had the great pleasure and privilege of traveling to Abu Simbel with Hany Amir. Traveling with Hany is like traveling with a friend. Not only is Hany a very safe and cautious driver but also very attentive. He made the long trip from Aswan to Abu Simbel interesting, fun, and relaxing, always making sure we were comfortable. With his great sense of humor and outgoing personality, we learned a lot about the desert and also a few basic words of Arabic. To end an outstanding day, Hany invited us for the traditional Egyptian sugar cane juice. We are very happy we got to meet you, Hany, and spend the day with you! Amazing experience. The drive was 3.5 hours from Aswan to the site but we had a great driver. He was punctual, very nice and took us to a local restaurant that the food was fantastic. His name was Hany. Abu Simbel was gorgeous!

We were picked at Abu Simbel after a long car trip from Assouan by Waleed, our guide. Immediately, we were put in the right mood by his explanations about the recent history of the site ( danger from flooding from lake Nasser) but also historical informations. The explanations were very concise and efficient, and his tone and speech speed were very enjoyable. We recommend it.

Incredibly friendly driver - Gave tons of context, video explanations despite not speaking English - amazing one . Site guide was a bit rushed as he was doing several people that morning so the history walk through didn’t feel as good
