Pavel was a phenomenal guide and driver . He was with our family of 7 for 2 days and fit so much in so that we could really appreciate all the sites on the Island. He was generous with his time and couldn’t have been more pleasant and easy to work with. Highly recommend him when you visit San Miguel !!!

I want to thank Pavel for an amazing day in Azores. We were on a cruise with a short day in the port, but he was able to squeeze in so much sightseeing while alleviating my worries about returning back to the ship on time. Pavel is very personable and responsible, making communication prior to our tour easy. The weather did not cooperate with us (it was a day after a huge storm, still somewhat wet and foggy), so Pavel cleverly modified itinerary so allow us to enjoy our tour. Thank you so much Pavel for your knowledge and passion, we cannot recommend enough GreetAzores to anyone who wants to see Sao Miguel.

If you are fortunate enough to be able to book with this company, do it! Pavel owns the company and is the only driver, so you get only the best. His van is pristine – nicer than others we saw – and had bottled water waiting for us. We began with the highlight, the hike into a viewpoint of Sete Cidades, which took a bit more time than planned. One of our members had mobility challenges so Pavel and his English guide for the day, Shannon, conferred while we had lunch and offered an alternate plan which was perfect. And the lunch! The restaurant was modern, very clean and had delicious regional food and excellent service. Their portions were large, so each couple split a meal. We would gladly return there. Shannon spoke with the proprietor to learn which dishes could be served quickly so we would have more time to see San Miguel. Perhaps most noteworthy was Pavel’s kindness. He took great care with us, was willing to change course to meet our needs, and could not do enough for us. I do not know if every tour has Shannon as a guide, but she is enthusiastic, fun and a wealth of information as a US native who now lives in the Azores. Our tour was incredibly informative and took us through the most beautiful gems that Sao Miguel has to offer. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable about local culture and shared the rich history of Sao Miguel, as well as finding wonderful photo spots. My father and I are grateful for an amazing time! 10/10 would absolutely book again!

If you want to see the Azores in all their magical beauty, a tour of the lakes of São Miguel is the perfect place! It is a journey to the most picturesque places of the island , filled with vivid emotions, stunning views and amazing stories. A separate delight is the little secret corners where Paul took us: forests with endemic plants , observation platforms with breathtaking panoramas and delicious snack points . Thank you so much Paul! It was not just a tour, but a real journey into the heart of Azores nature. 100% recommend to anyone who wants to see San Miguel for real!

We booked 4 days with GreetAzores to explore São Miguel through their offered tours and couldn’t be happier about this decision. Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo tour was a true gem. The scenery was magical, and with the right guide like Pavel, who is knowledgeable and down-to-earth, it became an unforgettable journey through nature and local culture. The tour was perfectly organized, with stunning stops and a relaxed, enjoyable pace. Pavel adjusted the itinerary to match the changing weather, making sure we caught the most spectacular views and even took us to some hidden spots we would have never found on our own. Wonderful trip with numerous viewpoints accompanied by interesting stories about Azores islands. Well-organised day of engaging experiences was totally worth it.

We booked a full day tour of the island in May 2025. Our guide, Pavel, has a warm personality and is knowledgeable. He took us to some of the most breathtaking spots, viewpoints over Sete Cidades, Lagoa do Fogo, hot springs of Furnas, and the serene tea plantations. We loved how he showed us hidden spots we’d never have found ourselves and also recommended local eateries. It felt less like a tour and more like spending a day with a local friend. Pavel is an amazing guide! We saw so much of São Miguel in just one day. I highly recommend Pavel if you want to explore like a local.
