O campo de concentração de Stutthof foi o primeiro e o mais longo campo de concentração operacional no território da Polônia. Foi estabelecido para exterminar a Inteligência Judaica e Polonesa, principalmente da Pomerânia e da Cidade Livre de Gdask. Construído em 1939 e inicialmente destinado a aproximadamente 3 000 pessoas, este campo tornou-se gradualmente o local de tortura e abate de mais de 110 mil prisioneiros de 26 países, a maioria dos quais foram torturados, forçados a trabalhar ou morreram em câmaras de gás. Stutthof Concentration Camp está atualmente aberto para visitantes. Como a exposição é bastante drástica, ela pode ser visitada apenas por pessoas com 13 anos ou mais. A viagem dura 5 horas e a oferta inclui o ingresso para o museu e a exploração guiada da antiga área de Stutthof - os antigos e novos quarteirões, a vila principal do comandante, as câmaras de gás, o crematório e o monumento às vítimas. Além disso, também é possível assistir a um filme sobre o acampamento.

This was a great trip with a guide with deep knowledge and a very good and accurate way of telling the stories abaut Stutthof from the start to the end. Mike (our Guide) told the whole story, the awful handling of the people, how the camp was runned, and the strategies for survival was for the people in Stutthof. It is highly rekommended to do this tour for adults and teens.

The tour was very well-organized and professional. The driver arrived on time, was friendly and was giving us many interesting information about the region during the ride to our destination. If you are interested in history or just a really humbling experience, this concentration camp will open your eyes to struggles of the people that was imprisoned here. If you coming in the winter months make sure you dress warm. The cold adds to the experience. If you are in the Gdansk area this is a must see. Having a guided tour definitely helps to get a full concrete experience. Your tour guide was on time to pick us up and shared so much about the local area as well. The beach is close and the shops have some great homemade ice cream. Hope you all enjoy as much as our family did.
