The tour is one of the best tours we experienced. The driver was super patient and stopped at the most picturesque spot for us to take in the mountainous landscape. He also found us one of most popular restaurant among locals for lunch with again a fabulous Mountain View. Our guide is even more amazing. She and her students (who volunteered to join her to learn and English and culture) are very nice and inspiring young women, who explained with in-depth historical background and knowledge in every site we visited. We truly appreciate their warmth and kindness. Shahrisabz is smaller than Samarkand, but it offers very quaint and authentic flavors of the history as well. Highly recommended!
Thanks for you review Michell, we are proud of our tradition in welcoming Guests along the old silk road.
Really good communication before and after booking this trip, friendly and helpful. The driver was a really nice guy. And the guide in Shahrisabz, sorry cannot remember her name, was superb. English teacher and she was excellent, engaging, fun, knowledgeable, totally all you want in a guide.
Thanks Dave, the guide was Feruza (which means turquoise) we are proud of her.
Our driver Farid was so accommodating and kind. He didn’t speak English, but we used google translate and had a great time learning from each other. He took us to the absolute best lunch spot called Katta Tosh Tabdir with the most wonderful lamb we have ever had. He also took us to a gorgeous hiking spot upon request after the Shahrisabz tour. Our guide in Shahrisabz, Ms. Firuza was so kind and taught us everything there was to know about the history of the palace, mausoleums, mosques, and everything else we encountered in the city. Overall a fabulous experience and just great people all along the way!
This is a great trip and both the Driver and the Tour Guide at Shahrisabz were fab!. I recommend this.
Excellent day tour with driver and local guide and 2 students who were learning English. Small town but guide covered everything about the town including Amir Temur. Very green garden town very unusual in Uzbekistan with all the mountains in the background. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone travelling from Samarkand.
Excellent tour of this small town. With its Mosques and Mausoleums. A garden city with its greenery. Tour guide was excellent with her local knowledge and her 2 assistant students.
It is worthwile to visit Sharishabz with a guide. The interaction before the trip was proactive and transparent. Damir was a very safe driver, the car was comfortable and very clean. Our guide Max was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent english. I recommend to start the tour early to beat all the other tourist groups. Lunch (optional / not included in price) was eaten on the mountain pass - the food was rather mediocre and pricey.
Dear Luca Hasler, Good day to you. Thank you for leaving your feedback on our website, your opinion is very important to us. We will review your suggestion with our team. Thank you for choosing us. Silk Tour
We've obviously been forgotten. We were only picked up from the hotel after several WhatsApp over an hour late. The tour with a tour guide who barely spoke German - she had obviously memorized her text well, but could not answer any questions - was then completed very quickly.
Dear Mr. Peter Raidl, Good day to you. Your feedback is very important to us, and we truly appreciate you sharing it. As you experienced, on that particular day many roads in the city were closed due to important circumstances, which caused heavy traffic. Although the driver was delayed by about one hour, he nevertheless managed to reach the hotel. Regarding the guide, please accept our sincere apologies. Unfortunately, there are very few local German-speaking guides available in Shakhrisabz. We fully acknowledge and respect your concerns, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback and for your understanding. With best regards, Amir
Firuza was one of our best guides in Uzbekistan. Very high preparation and competence on many aspects, not only historical-cultural. And with impeccable English. Thank you ❤️
Great day trip to Shakhrisabz from Samarkand. Informative guide and a fab optional lunch stop on the way back, including being shown the outdoor kitchen where the lamb was being prepared and tandoori cooked
