Você verá quatro lados da vida em Cancun (1) Restaurante de frutos do mar de alta qualidade no Caribe frequentado por locais ricos (2) Restaurante de frutos do mar de alta qualidade na costa de Laguna Nichupte, frequentado por moradores locais (alguns ancorando seus iates para comer) e visitantes (3) um restaurante de taco no coração da zona hoteleira de Cancun, frequentado por muitos turistas estrangeiros (4) comida de rua doce no coração do centro de Cancun, visitado por moradores locais com suas famílias e principalmente turistas mexicanos. Seu Guia, um ex-fotógrafo profissional, fará fotos ao longo da sua experiência e as compartilhará com você depois.

Esta primeira parada é em Puerto Juarez, atualmente candidato a ser um dos primeiros 'barrios magicos' (bairros mágicos) do país, pois era onde Cancún 'existia' antes de Cancún ser construída na década de 1970. Comeremos ceviche e desfrutaremos de uma bebida em Marbella, uma joia escondida de um restaurante de frutos do mar com vista para o Caribe, a apenas 2 ou 3 metros de distância.
Nossa segunda parada, depois de um cruzeiro de meia hora no clássico carro de corrida pintado VW Fusca, será em um restaurante com vista para a Laguna Nichupte, situado em uma praia de areia, onde provaremos as 'pescadillas' (famosas empanadas de peixe ) ou alternativa vegetariana, e tome uma bebida.
Depois de dez minutos de viagem, sendo fotografados e filmados pelos transeuntes no VW Fusca, nossa terceira parada será no coração da Zona Hotelera, onde absorveremos o ambiente, enquanto comemos tacos al pastor, um mexicano instituição nacional de um prato ao lado de outra bebida.
Depois de mais 20 minutos no clássico VW Fusca, a nossa quarta e última paragem será numa grande praça frequentada todas as noites por cariocas e turistas nacionais, juntamente com as suas famílias. Passearemos por aí com seu guia explicando cada um dos pratos locais oferecidos neste mercado de comida de rua e local de entretenimento e desfrutaremos de uma 'marquesita', uma panqueca crocante com frutas e queijo Edam, um prato único nesta região do México.

We had a remarkable experience with Paul! He was informative, engaging, and fun to be around and the locations/food selections were perfect! I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get out and explore the beauty of Cancún.

We did a food tour with Paul and it was outstanding! Our first stop was a truly local restaurant. I would almost describe it as a “speak easy”. You enter a convenience store and go to the back and then go upstairs to a complete surprise! It was a fantastic setting right on the water. We enjoyed a beer and some of the best shrimp ceviche I ever tasted. 2nd stop was in the main square of Cancun. One again, it felt as though only locals were visiting this area. There was music, kids playing, and tons of food vendors. We had a dessert called a marquesita. It was delicious!! 3rd stop was in the crazy area near Congo Bongo. We had some tacos el pastor at a restaurant in this area. Although not my atmosphere, it was fun to people watch and experience a bit of the Cancun night life. Last stop was a seafood/taco restaurant further down in the Hotel Zone. We had fish empanadas and a cocktail. Another fantastic choice and a great way to end the evening. Paul’s tour does an amazing job, showing 4 different types of restaurants, all with a different vibe. He is a fun, knowledgeable person and also teaches you about the history of Cancun. Do not hesitate to book a tour with him!!

I'm so glad that I booked this tour. My fiance and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish! Minutes after i booked, I had received a nice confirmation message from the tour guide/business owner himself, Paul. He was on time, accommodating, and friendly. He is also a seasoned traveler so he is knowledgeable enough to give us a history of Cancun, show us the highlights of the city, and have us experience some of the best foods around. If you are a first timer in Cancun, I highly recommend this deal! Also, wandering in a VW beetle is a sweet bonus! Hey Paul, thanks for such an amazing experience. We had such a great night with Paul! This isn’t just a food tour—it’s a mix of amazing food, local culture, and insight into the social and economic side of Cancun. Paul really knows his stuff, and as a well-traveled person himself, he brings a unique perspective. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that passion is contagious. We also got a video at the end of the tour, which was such a wonderful bonus—it really made the experience even more special. Our only regret is not doing this tour earlier in our trip—we definitely would’ve spent more time with him. Guess we’ll just have to come back!
You're very kind and it was a delight to spend the evening with you, eating the best food and showing off what is now my home town and explaining its people. As you say, this is more than a food tour, rather a food-based socio-cultural tour. It was indeed a shame we were unable to schedule anything else, but thank you for your review, and congrats on your wedding too!

Great experience from start to finish. The very striking car made me remember moments from my childhood and adolescence. We went to eat ceviche in Marbella which was delicious, for me it was the best. I ate it with a cold beer. Afterwards we tried whiting and tacos and finally we went to Las Palapas park to eat a marquesita. For me it was the first time doing all this and I have been living in Cancun for 17 years.
