Because the driver/guide was 45 minutes late we were unable to tour the Citadel. One third of the tour wasn’t delivered. The guide was knowledgeable and very accommodating, but her driving ability was a bit underwhelming. She blew through a red light and a stop sign along with many hard stops. Because the middle row seat did not latch properly that caused the seat and occupant to lurch forward during the hard stops. Your van needs a good cleaning as well and because the driver couldn’t charge her phone I used mine for directions and used a significant amount of my allotted data on international roaming. Chloe was a sweet person, tried very hard to make up for the shortcomings, but likely needs additional training. Just not a good day for anyone.
Excellent tour! Nice Mercedes Van, with an amazing Tour Guide. Emily was great to listen to, she was super friendly, absolutely the best we have had on a excursion type tour. She could be an ambassador to this company as we are now looking at other tour offering from them. Best of my trip. A+++, highly recommended.
Although our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, there were a few hiccups with our tour. Our guide was 45 minutes late in picking us up. She did let us know via text that she was arriving late. Because of our late start our entry into the Citadel didn’t happen as we arrived after they closed. We were only able to view the site from the exterior. Perhaps in trying to catch up, or perhaps from lack of attention, our driver/guide blew through a red light in downtown Halifax and a stop sign near the pier as we were returning. Numerous curb bumps and short stops lend evidence to just not very good, or safe, driving skills. The tour stops were great, we can’t speak to the Citadel, but the Titanic gravesites were especially interesting, as was Peggy’s Cove. But Chloe was informative and very accommodating and we will give her two stars because of that.
Well organized tour covering Peggy's Cove, the Citadel, and the Titanic Cemetery in one day. Pickup was punctual, the pacing between stops felt smooth, and our guide was knowledgeable throughout. Peggy's Cove was the highlight, the lighthouse and rugged coastline are breathtaking. Great option if you want to see Halifax's must-sees without renting a car.
We had a wonderful time on our tour of Peggy's cove, the titanic cemetery and Citadel Hill in Halifax. Loved the small group in a comfortable vehicle. Our guide was very knowledgeable and ensured we had just the right amount of time at each location.
Great info about these must see sights Emily is a charming and effective guide Great pacing with ample time at each site
Adrian was our guide and was very knowledgeable and easy to listen to. He answered all of our questions, added in interesting stories and made the tour a really enjoyable experience. Pick up and drop off at our hotel was a nice benefit.
The tour was heavy on driving and light on information. I think the problem was the distance to the first attraction (Peggy’s Cove) is long and the guide wasn’t able to fill the time with general history, which would have been additional context for the attractions themselves. Peggy’s Cove is beautiful, but little more than a photo op. The Titanic grave site feels a little strange, but the history was perhaps more accessible than the other attractions because of the Titanic’s place in pop culture. The Citadel was okay.
We enjoyed the citadel, the Titanic cemetery, & Peggy's Cove.
Concise, accesible and very informative. Brittany did a great job giving us information on cementery and about Peggys Cove
