I highly recommend this tour with Dhiraj. He is extremely knowledgeable and made this experience enjoyable and educational. I would definitely book with him..
It was a great tour. My guide was very friendly and nice. I learned a lot from him. I highly recommend it! He even helped me catch the train for the rest of my visit and gave me lots of tips about Mumbai. Thank you!
We booked this tour through booking.com. Guide has picked us up at the hotel at our request. Very friendly and helpful guy, we were even allowed to leave our luggage at his house. The tour itself is rather limited and given short but with sufficient explanation (in my opinion all tours are the same). The daughters had henna tattoos done in his home (for a fee). He helped us to arrange taxi to the bus station. Very friendly, reliable and helpful guy. WE WERE VERY PLEASED! Nice acquaintance with his family and family. TOP EXPERIENCE.
Amazing tour with the sweet and polite guide Dhiraj! He was very good at answering all of our many questions and never rushed us, although we wanted to take a lot of stops to take pictures. The trip with the local train was great, the laundry Dhobi Ghat and Dharawi was very interesting, we would definitely recommend the tour to everyone! We even got to visit the guides own home and neighbourhood in another slum-area, which has learned us a lot as well.
Amazing experience. The guide Dhiraj was very nice, pleasant and informative. Was very interesting to see Dharavi and the living conditions, great to get an understanding of the place and how they live. And also the worlds biggest outdoor laundromat Dhobi Ghat. We felt very safe and well taken care of, I would recommend everyone to do this, a must see when in Mumbai!
Excellent visit, the guide is very Nice and explains well everything!
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Dhiraj was able to guide me through the two slum communities and show me how they worked as places of work, as well as places to live. I learned a lot about both the plastic recycling and laundry industries in Mumbai - each community is almost a city within a city and Dhiraj showed me the industrial processes from start to finish. Furthermore, he answered many of my questions about the general geography and history of the city, took me on the famous local train network and took me to some excellent food and chai places. I could not recommend this tour more. Thank you again Dhiraj 🙏
Fantastic guide, would definitely recommend. Dhiraj was very knowledgeable and took us all over Dharavi. He took us to a house to eat and also got us involved in a game of cricket. Brilliant.
I had visited with a friend and it was really authentic and interesting. The guide was invested and very kind I can only advise you. We had no problems and we never felt like we were in a delicate or dangerous situation.. a big thank you to the guide he showed us a lot to visit places that I think all alone we would never go there
Dhiraj did an excellent job guiding me around! He checked in with me beforehand via WhatsApp so that the pick up location was very clear. We then went right on the train together (which I wanted to do anyways), an rode one station to the slum. He was extremely knowledgeable of how everything worked and what kind of industries there are (especially recycling of various goods). He also pointed out spots I might know from movies like slumdog millionaire. Whenever I had a question he didn’t have the answer to he went up to people and asked for me. I was a bit sceptical whether to to sucha tour in the first place, as it seemed a bit like sensationalizing others peoples misfortunes, going in where they live to take touristy pictures. But the tour was done very respectfully, covering mostly the industry parts of the slum. At no time did I have the impression we were overstepping people’s boundaries.
