Encontre seu guia e grupo na Old Adobe Chapel, que pode ser creditada por salvar a Old Town San Diego graças a um livro de 1884. Continue até uma das casas mais assombradas do sul da Califórnia, também incomum por sua arquitetura e materiais de construção. Depois de ver um pouco da arquitetura vitoriana, passaremos pela localização original do Presídio e da Missão quando os espanhóis se estabeleceram na Califórnia. Admire a estrutura do século 18 mais antiga da região e aprenda sobre as tribos indígenas que viveram aqui por milhares de anos. De volta à cidade, veremos alguns artesanatos mexicanos autênticos (sem lembranças ruins aqui!), visitaremos uma igreja católica centenária que é descendente da Missão original, seguido de um passeio por um cemitério histórico com túmulos que remontam à década de 1850. Nossa parada final é uma Tequileria local para aprender sobre os diversos tipos de tequila. Desfrute de um sabor ou selecione outra bebida de sua escolha, além de tacos gourmet.

Junte-se a nós enquanto descobrimos a história completa de San Diego no local onde tudo começou - Old Town. Aprenderemos sobre os povos indígenas da região, junto com os espanhóis e visitaremos onde eles se estabeleceram e como isso se tornou parte do México antes de se tornar um estado dos EUA. Ao longo do caminho, ouviremos histórias das pessoas que viveram aqui e terminaremos com alguns tacos e tequila fantásticos!
Começamos nosso passeio na Capela Adobe, construída inicialmente como casa em 1850. Em 1858 tornou-se uma capela após o fechamento da Missão e serviu nessa capacidade até 1919. Ficaremos sabendo que foi o cenário da personagem fictícia Ramona casamento do romance de 1884, e como esse prédio salvou o bairro.
Existem três edifícios históricos neste local e vamos falar sobre todos eles, além de admirar as centenárias Pimenteiras. Conhecida principalmente por seus moradores fantasmagóricos, a Whaley House é historicamente importante além de ser assombrada.
Esses edifícios vitorianos foram transferidos para cá para preservá-los da cidade em expansão na década de 1970 do centro da cidade. Todas estas casas datam do final do século XIX.
A mais longa marcha de infantaria da história dos EUA aconteceu durante a guerra mexicano-americana em 1846-48 e este site comemora isso.
Onde a moderna San Diego começou com a primeira Missão e o primeiro Presidio (fortaleza) estabelecidos aqui em 1769. Depois que esta área foi abandonada, os moradores desceram a colina para o que hoje é o Old Town State Park.
Este é o descendente da igreja em nosso local de reunião e tem mais de 100 anos.
Depois que o Presidio fechou, este se tornou o principal cemitério católico de San Diego, e muitos dos primeiros moradores de San Diego estão enterrados aqui.

A really good in depth trip round old town and unexpected extras like trying tortillas and tacos would definitely recommend this tour it's about 3 hours

I book tour on a last minute decision to get away with my girlfriend. It was something that we both needed. We got there a couple of minutes late but were able to catch up with the group. I must say our tour guide Jennifer did an amazing job. Not only gave us a tour around old town San Diego, but was nice, friendly, funny and gave us some history facts of Old Town that my girlfriend and I both enjoyed. We ended the tour at El Agave Restaurant and Tequileria. I must say the restaurant was nice. Tequila bottles everywhere. Friendly staff. Tacos were really good. The drinks were top tier 10/10. Thank you to Daniel for making the best margaritas ever. We will definitely be back to Old Town soon.

We enjoyed this experience as there were only three of us so it was easy to ask questions and hear all the commentary. Our guide, Jennifer, was great. The route was a fairly easy walk with only one long hill. The tacos and tequila was a perfect way to end the tour. The restaurant was very nice and outside the main part of Old Town so quiet and relaxing.
