Fazemos uma breve caminhada pelos jardins do Parlamento, onde seu guia indicará a icônica "Colmeia", as Casas do Parlamento e o prédio da Biblioteca Parlamentar.
Construída entre 1865 e 1866, a Catedral de São Paulo é um dos melhores exemplos de arquitetura do renascimento gótico no mundo. A Catedral é particularmente tocante para os visitantes americanos. Um grande contingente da Corporação Marinha Americana estava baseado em e ao redor de Wellington em 1942 e muitos marines participaram dos serviços de domingo. A bandeira da American Marine Corp e a bandeira nacional americana da época com 48 estrelas penduram orgulhosamente dentro da Catedral. Aqui temos um tour guiado com um membro da equipe do Heritage NZ que fornecerá uma ampla visão geral da história da Catedral.

Visitamos vários memoriais em Seatoun e Breaker Bay para 51 pessoas que tragicamente perderam suas vidas em 10 de abril de 1968 no naufrágio do Inter Island Ferry Wahine. Na verdade, mais 2 pessoas morreram após a tragédia como resultado de ferimentos sofridos naquele dia fatídico.
Visitamos o memorial Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, o primeiro Presidente da República da Turquia acima de Breaker Bay. O memorial tem vista para o Estreito de Cook e o local foi escolhido por sua notável semelhança com a paisagem da Península de Gallipoli na Turquia. This tour was an incredible journey trough Middle Earth. Our guide Dean was really nice during the day and gave so much details and anecdotes. Little Finn will remember this awsome member of our felleowship of the day. One of the best days of our trip in New Zeland!

A fantastic way to spend the day in Wellington! We learned so much, saw so much and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our guide, Tom Collier, was quite knowledgeable and interspersed anecdotes that kept things light and lively. We traversed the city and by the end of the tour felt like we had really seen Wellington.

Wonderful LOTR tour around Wellington! My son and I had a great time with Dave. He took us to all the filming locations and more! He also taught us about New Zealand’s rich history and culture. A great lunch was included along with all the pics in a drop box at the end of the tour. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!

Our guide Dave met us promptly at the agreed time and it was the beginning of an awesome day together. He listened to what we wanted to see, and asked what we had seen already, and then took us on an awesome tour of Wellington and surrounding areas. We really appreciated getting to see outside of the Central Business District and the fact that he took pictures that he promptly sent to us after the tour. Dave has a wealth of local knowledge and was super easy to spend time with. It felt more like a friend showing you his city and a paid tour. Dave also remembered that we needed to buy hats to protect ourselves from the strong sun and neatly fit in a stop at a local store (instead of an overpriced tourist shop) to buy some hats! This tour was the highlight of our visit to Wellington! Thank you Dave for being sucha great guide.
