Excursão Madaba e Monte Nebo saindo de Amã

Petra is wow!! I had Samadi as my driver and we left Amman around 7am. As we drove Samadi explained what to expect, about how long it may take and to be wary of the “salesmen”. I had a fantastic day doing and seeing everything I wanted. Just a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this tour and Samadi was a perfect, pleasant, informative and professional driver. Thank you Samadi.

I was visiting Jordan for 2 weeks. Upon arrival we were picked up at Amman airport by Marwan on May 16th. The transfer was arranged by Movenpick Dead Sea hotel which was our first destination. Marwan the driver was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable and gave us amazing introduction to the country culture and most popular sites in the country, advising us of tours available so we could enjoy the most of our trip. At arrival at the Dead Sea hotel I tipped Marwan out of good heart and appreciation for the useful info given. Worth mentioning that Marwan never had a pressing attitude to force us into tipping him. Seeing that we were so happy about the service provided by him, next day in the morning when heading to breakfast I stopped by the Retaj desk at Movenpick Dead Sea and request the manager to arrange us a tour that was recommended by Marwan to Bethany, Mount Nebo and Madaba, and asked the gentleman how much would that cost, which he promptly said there was availability and the price would be 130 JOD. Seemed reasonable to me and I agreed to it without checking the price list menu. We had great time during the tour with Marwan helpful and hospitable as usual, he asked us several times if we wished to stop for food or drinks, souvenirs, or pictures as we desired, Marwan always went the extra mile to make us feel good and well looked after, also advised us to combine certain tours that would save us money by saving km by combining sites that were located close to each other so we could enjoy the best of our visit to Jordan. Absolutely recommendable driver which made me ask the desk to have him as our preferred driver. By the time we returned from this tour we went to the desk where I promptly gave the great feedback about his driving and tours and requested the manager to have him all the time. At this moment we agreed with the desk manager tours for the next 2 days until we left Dead Sea which were to Wadi Mujib, Salt beach and Ma’in Hot springs as these were close to each other as well as the drop off the day after to Petra where we would stay 2 nights. For this package we made a deal with desk manager for a price of 300 JOD, that seemed reasonable, which we were asked by manager to pay in advance, seemed weird but we trusted people and accepted and paid right away. In the middle of all this we seemed to forget to pay the tour to Bethany, Mount Nebo and Madaba, as we were leaving Marwan approached us to double check ( very politely) if we had paid, and we realised that we did not so we turned back and went to the desk to pay immediately where we paid 140 JOD, despite the agreed price was 130JOD, but my lady was too fast and paid before I could react that price was higher than agreed. Once we realised the mistake we were told by the desk manager that was a mistake and we would fix this later. Waited 2 days as we were having tour to Wadi Mujib, Salt beach and Ma’in Hot springs as well as drop off to Petra. As we did not got any contact from Retaj about this and was our last breakfast before heading to Petra, we were even willing to let it go as we were not talking about such a great amount of money, but the guest relations/ concierge of the hotel asked us for a feedback about our stay. We gave feedback about several things involving hotel facilities as well as we mentioned the not transparent attitude of Retaj desk manager as in the meantime we realised that the tour in question was listed in the price list for the above mentioned 120 JOD and not the 130 the manager gave us as price and we felt a bit scammed by Retaj manager. The concierge of course could not let it go even if we were talking about 10/20 JOD due to a matter of principle and accompanied us to the Retaj desk and resolved the matter with the manager by getting our 20 JOD back. All in all we could have rated this 5⭐️ as we were more than happy with the tours, Marwan- the driver hospitality and knowledge about the sites, history and culture, but the Retaj manager professionalism stained an almost perfect experience for us, therefore only 4⭐️. Highly recommend Marwan as your favourite Driver whenever you visit Jordan.

Helpful employee and amazing places excellent company to do any tours with it, we saw the mosaics and st. George’s church and a lot of beautiful places.
