Há muito tempo um bairro onde artesãos locais trabalhavam em pequenas lojas, Psirri é agora um dos novos locais mais badalados da cidade para comer e beber à noite. É também um dos melhores lugares para conferir as últimas novidades da arte de rua da cidade.
A biblioteca de Adriano, a excelente comida de rua e um rio subterrâneo escondido em uma estação de metrô aguardam aqueles que vêm a esta área de mercado de antiguidades e pulgas em busca de uma pechincha ou de dar uma olhada em uma das poucas mesquitas otomanas sobreviventes da cidade.

We had an incredible experience on the Unexpected Athens tour with Andreas! He was an exceptional guide who brought the history of Greece and Athens to life in a way that was both fascinating and meaningful. Andreas was extremely knowledgeable and did an amazing job connecting the past to what we see in Athens today, helping us understand the culture, people, and stories behind the city. One of our favorite parts was seeing the “real” Athens beyond the typical tourist stops. Since we already planned to visit the major monuments on another day, this tour was the perfect way to get our bearings, learn the history, and truly understand the city before exploring further on our own. By the end of the tour, we felt like we had a much deeper appreciation for Athens and Greece as a whole, and we left with a great sense of the lay of the land. Andreas was engaging, personable, and made the entire experience fun. We learned so much while also having a wonderful time. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens, especially if you want to go beyond the highlights and experience the city through the eyes of someone who truly knows and loves it.

This was one of the best tours we have ever been on….the weather today was cloudy, chilly and windy but our guide, Nicholas, made us not think about that!!! Our tour lasted over 4 hours and we visited areas that we would never have seen on our own….highly recommend booking this tour if given the opportunity!!!!
