We wanted to give our grandchildren an experience of watching birds in Sussex, and Wildstarts. offered what we were looking for. They recommended which was the best location to see a wide range of birds. Our personal guide was very knowledgeable, and he was kept busy answering all our questions on the 3hour tour. We would thoroughly recommend this tour
At the very beginning of our walk, Atticus alerted us to bird songs. His sharp eye identified many birds near and far. He was patient, unrushed, and very knowledgeable of every bird species we saw, patiently setting up his scope for settled birds in the distance. The walk was peaceful, a steady pace, and Atticus was constantly conscious of our capabilities. Booking, paying, being introduced to Atticus, confirmation emails, the walk itself and the follow up of birds we encountered were 100% professional. I can thoroughly recommend this organisation. Thank you for a memorable morning.
I had a day's layover at Gatwick and what better way to spend it than a day birdwatching. I got in touch with Wildstarts and they drew up an itinerary aimed at my target birds. David was at my hotel promptly to collect me and we were soon chatting away like old friends! I had a most interesting day at various locations with some great birds seen, including spectacular views of my main target. David is a highly skilled birder with an exceptional ear - he was picking up calls and song long before I could hear anything! Highly recommended as a wonderful way to see Sussex and its attractive range of birds.
I spent a fantastic day in Kent birding with David. Everything about the experience was positive! Initial email communications were timely and David carefully planned a tailored day of birding for my particular style and targeting the birds I was most interested in seeing. The day itself unfolded without a hitch as we visited a small number of very rich birding sites in Kent, making sure we had lots of time to look for (and find!) our target birds. A pub lunch mid-day was a great opportunity to refuel for the afternoon. David is a very skilled birder and a great person to spend a day in the field with, providing an amazing introduction to the birds and wildlife of southern England. Highly recommended!
I am so happy I contacted Wildstarts for my short layover for some local birding between Gatwick and Heathrow. David put together a great itinerary for me and we were able to maximize my time and get some great birding in. Can't say enough good stuff about David, he went above and beyond for me.
We had a fabulous day with David. His experience and knowledge were both fantastic and he put together a great day for our guided walk. We couldn’t have been happier and would definitely recommend him
Great experience. Atticus was very knowledgeable and personable. The RSBP spot we went to was really beautiful as well as birds. Added 9 lifers, so what more could I ask.
Had a fabulous time birding for a day trip in and around London. Dave is a great guide, had great ear and eyes and made for a memorable day. Would highly recommend Wildstarts for your next birding adventure.
I had what was probably the best day’s birding of my life with David, certainly the one with the most species and with the most knowledgable host. His awareness and abilities are second to none and he is just a huge pleasure to spend time with. I would heartily recommend people of all skill levels to go on a day out with him. Many thanks, Mark
Dave Campbell did a great job leading me around the countryside in search of birds. He was knowledgeable and had a fabulous ear and eye for the birds. Saw in the 90's for species of birds. If you have an interest in seeing and learning about the birds, this guy is for you! Also takes great photographs of the birds.
