Our time with Helen and Star was so much fun, never mind the excellent food!! They're very knowledgeable and shared many interesting stories along the way. Riding on the motorbikes was such a great way to see the city and explore. Would recommend to anyone who loves food and doesn’t mind a slightly bumpy ride.

My daughter and I had the best time on the Saigon Happy food tour tonight! Helen and Dan were absolute stars, so warm, funny and full of local knowledge. Even though the traffic was wild, I felt completely safe riding with them, and honestly, zipping through the streets was half the fun. The food? Incredible. We explored different districts, tasting dishes locals love, many of which I’d never tried before—and every single one was delicious. No bahn mi or pho! It was such a joyful, adventurous evening, and I can’t thank Helen and Dan enough for making it unforgettable! The best way to explore HCM is on scooter at night.

Nhiên (Star), Duy (Kevin), and Thắng took us on an excellent dinner tour of lesser known food spots around the city. I grew up in a big Vietnamese community abroad, and even I was impressed by the quality of food we enjoyed. The tour guides are eloquent, knowledgeable, and have plenty of information to share about a wide range of topics. The scooters add a lot to the experience. Many hidden spots can't be reached easily by car, and the night rides add to the fun. Shoutout to Duy, the best scooter driver in Saigon.

Hands down THE best food tour we did in all of Vietnam (and we did a lot!). Most tours are enjoyable, but this one was truly SO FUN. My family and I were taken around Saigon with Star and the rest of her incredible team. When booking, we didn’t realize that we would be driven around by a bunch of college kids on motorbikes but honestly it made the experience 10x better!! The energy was at an all time high and you could tell the whole team truly loved working for SaigonHappyTours. You’re taken around on motorbikes and not only did we get to enjoy the true Saigon experience of weaving through traffic, getting on their freeways, and (the highlight of the trip) being taken through the alleyways of District 4, but every food stop was incredible! There were no misses with any of Star’s stops and she truly took you on some unknown gems - I mean locations with only 2 Google reviews! This was my favorite tour in all of Vietnam and my family still talks about how much fun we had. PLEASE book this tour if you are considering it and if you can, ask for Star - she’s amazing! (She’s also so happy to provide you additional recommendations for the rest of your time in Saigon). Cannot recommend this tour enough, truly! This was my favourite thing I did in Saigon! Helen was a wonderful guide and showed me all around the city to local spots (when they say ‘no tourist tour’ they mean it), and we shared many delicious Vietnamese dishes that I won’t soon forget!

My spouse and myself did a food tour with them and it was a fantastic opener to our Vietnam trip. Great fun and felt authentic. We went to all the back alleys eating local food. This would have not been possible without the expertise of our guides who navigated their way expertly through the traffic and covering the nooks and back alleys of Saigon. We visited at least 6 districts so was well worth the money and time spent. !! Would recommend and definitely would go again with them.

This tour was excellent and surprising. We went to areas in Saigon that I never would have found. Beautiful street life and the best food ever. Tried so many dishes each one different to the next. I loved spending time with Helen who was full of good stories and histories. It is definitely not in touristy areas and it was wonderful to see Saigon this way. This was the best tour I have ever done and I think the person who came up with it is a genius. Thank you!!!

Helen is an amazing guide! I came as a solo traveller and Helen was such a nice person to chat with for the evening, she had loads of fun facts and all the food we tried was incredible.

A fantastic tour! This was one of our highlights in HCMC. Mimi and her crew were so knowledgeable and really took care of us, most importantly, they fed us some of the best food we’ve tasted. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves food with a side of adventure and fun.
