What a great tour! One of the best I did whilst in Marrakech in 2 weeks. Knowledgeable, informed, non touristy, excellent food choices and an insight into the local food choices. Thoroughly the tour and highly recommend Mohamed's tour.
Great tour, amazing guide. Khaoula was a great guide, super honest and engaging. She takes you out of the tourist area to see the real places people go eat. Thoughtful and great.
It was good to experience local authentic food that we otherwise wouldn't have tried. We found it odd that our guide expected us to share the majority of the portions at each place which i thought was poor given we paid per person and not per group. Eventually everyone was asking for one portion each, her attitude after that seemed a little off. I would recommend this tour to try local food, however I would make sure i was getting a full portion each as that is what you have paid for.
Just incredible to learn about Marrakech and its people outside of the Medina. Food was great, but getting to know some local perspective outside the tourism was amazing.
Nour was a lovely guide and made sure to give us a wide ranging culinary experience. I appreciated that it was a vegetable heavy tour, though it was a lot of food so you might need to be ok with not finishing the earlier dishes. There was also no pressure at the end to write a review, but I want others to have a similarly good experience (you might be able to book with the company directly).
Highlight of our week in marrakech. Noor and Omar were amazing. So enthuasiastic and informative..we tasted everything and all of it delicious..so well organised and gave us such a great inisght into the fabulous food culture but also the city and its people and history. We were lucky to be joined by a lovely couple and by the end of the evening, i felt like we were firm friends ! We brought our kids 12 and 9 and 6 and Noor and Omar looked after us so well, including them in all the fun. If i could give this tour 100 stars I would..book immediately if you can and enjoy.. and trust me that you need to be starving at the start as you will be so well fed ! Thank you Omar and Noor for an amazing night..(and such kindness in getting us a taxi too !)
Our guide Medh was phenomenal. He was very informative, humorous, and patient. He explained a lot of food history. A very pleasant person.
Nour and Omar were amazing hosts, very attentive, friendly and warm towards all of us in the group. Describing how all of the different foods we ate became a culinary tradition here. And there was lot of food stops, so much to try, so be prepared and keep your appetite up if you’re going to this tour. Also enjoyed the little discussions on the history behind doors.
Khawla was a great food tour guide! She arranged for a driver to take our group to a quieter, local neighborhood about 20 minutes outside the Medina area. We started in the street market sharing freshly grilled savory breads with olives and veggies. At various small street vendors, we enjoyed delicious slow cooked beans with bread, sardine meatballs, chicken skewers, and finished with a yogurt fruit drink. We enjoyed Khawla's big personality, as she shared stories and history along the way. By the end, we were very full, had a fun time together with our group, and appreciated the more relaxed atmosphere in the neighborhood.
Amazing tour, lots of different food and drinks-definitely come hungry. Our guide was excellent, his English was perfect, he also had some great history lessons along the way. We would highly recommended this tour!
