John Kincaid is the best tour guide! We really enjoyed the tour and the guide.
Loved this tour! Faerie was an incredible guide, balancing out humour and gravity perfectly. The content was fascinating and I feel like I learned so much about the history of Edinburgh and some of its people.
Very good stories and very well told. I recommend the experience. Our guide was Cassandra Bean.
Guide was awesome. We learnt so much it was really interesting. I just wish we had more time in the places but highly recommend it.
Soldier Jock was amazing! The ghost tour was funny, sad, creepy, and our tour guide was an amazing actor!
Fun tour of Edinburgh with an entertaining tour guide (John) Doing it at night was great as it adds to the mood of the tour. First time seeing the vaults. Would return to see more. Good time!
Major Williams did his best but unfortunately he wasn't loud enough especially at the start of the tour. Also his explanation and descriptions felt a little rushed at some points. But apart from that it was a nice walk around especially to the cemetery
Great experience. Great guide. Got everyone involved. Particularly liked the ritual bit.
My mum booked the extreme paranormal underground ghost tour for the both of us, and we had an amazing time ! We had no trouble finding the meeting point, where we met our ghost guide David Rizzio… He was such an amazing presence, i honestly have trouble finding the words. Extremely funny and charismatic, he was also available to answer any question we had. We walked at a good rythm through the city and found out so much about the rich history of Edinburgh, as well as the frightening events that took place during the past centuries. The visit lasted around 90 minutes, ending with the underground, although we had to wait a few minutes at the cemetery because of another group that preceded us. The tour felt just the right amount of time. I feel like we weren’t a small group, but our guide always made sure we never lost anyone, and talked loudly enough to be heard by everyone. I was a bit afraid not to be able to hear everything but was definitely proven wrong. The awesome David Rizzio also made sure everyone was included, particularly by interacting with us. I would 100% book again and of course recommend :) However, to really make the most of this experience, I would say you need to have a really good understanding of english, or you might not get every joke. And this is probably fairly obvious, but dont go underground if you’re claustrophobic, it can feel a bit smothering, even without being afraid of small spaces. So to sum up, I would say this tour is best suited for english speakers, who enjoy paranormal stories, want to learn more about the history of Edinburgh (and the gory stories of its past residents) and aren’t too easily scared, or want to test themselves ;)
This tour was sassy, funny, and spooky. David put on a great show, was immersed in his character, and made learning about the haunting history of Edinburgh spooky and fun! Definitely worth the price.
